I quit staying at the Holiday Express because they don’t have maid service and they always raised the rates at the end of the stay. Now the Hampton Inns are following that example. We stayed at the Hampton in Panama city beachfor two nights and days. There was no maid service and when asked about it or if they would clean my room I was told it wasn’t available. Then she handed me some towels and said she couldn’t do anymore. This hotel is close to the beach and has a pool besides and with children and normal activities there was trash that filled the small recepticles in the room. The maids didn’t even check to empty those or if there was sufficient toilet paper. By the time we left there was trash spilling everywhere and no toilet paper at all. We were on the third floor with no place to dump the trash. When we arrived even the floor of the bathroom was dirty and it appeated as the staff had mopped it quickly with soap but didn’t clean it properly as ones bare feet stuck to the floor as you walked there and left feet feeling dirty afterwards. Overall I think the IHG has really lost the meaning of “Customer Service”!

The people we were vacationing with had late check in. Their room smelled like pot. Shower by pool did not work. Only 2 out of 4 hole Toaster worked at breakfast When cleaning ladies said that they had the rooms on floors 1 & 3 done so went inside and let the manager know that we were told the rooms were clean, she said they lied. That happened at 2.45 pm and the room wasn't ready till 3.30 pm. Pool area was very loud at 1 pm. Our room was great though, but the guests that we came with was not

This Hampton Inn was definitely not the u Quality of Inns I am used to. The checkin was not smooth as the computer system was not working correctly,the trash outside was overflowing onto the ground, the carpeted hallways were littered with trash as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in days, the beds were not comfortable at all (a one-topper mattress), and the carpet in the rooms seemed dirty. Upon leaving, the breakfast was not available as advertised and there was very little to choose from in item availability. Would not recommended staying here.

I was awakened at midnight, to teenagers screaming, and running up and down the halls, I called the front desk, she said she was the only one there, and had spoken with the groups chaperones, nothing done, this went on til 2 am when I was finally over it, so went outside to my truck to find 3 guys from this group, going through the back of my truck and equipment, at that point I called the police, then went in packed up my luggage and left, after I chatted with police. This hotel was unsafe and had no control over who was staying there, much less the chaos going on the entire night..... nothing was done

The room was clean and remodeled, but not completely serviced. The soap and shampoo dispensers were empty; there were no disposable cups for the bathroom (only two paper cups for coffee. The free wifi sign-in had a software bug that defaulted to reregistering and paying for internet - a trip to the front desk was met with a recommendation to keep trying, and only after going thru the motions were believed and given an override code to make our internet free as promised. These are small things, but other hotels get them right.

Dishonest people with no respect fo Customers.
I checked in to a room that the smoke detector was beeping and the phone did not work. I walked to front desk requested repair, 20 minutes late he front desk clerk came to door and said could not be fixed. Offered a new room, She then left and came back later and identified a new room, it was in the middle of a playoff game, I checked out room tv did not have game and the phone did not work. Again no phone to tell clerk interrupting the game, finally got a third room and had to move my self, more interrupting game, finally after two hours could unpack in third room, missed most of playoff game. Nest day I returned expecting the room to be cleaned, I requested make bed, replace soiled towels, empty trash, I as promised this would be done when I checked in, I confirmed the promised a second time before I ever entered my room at check in! I called down the clerk said they only clean rooms on third day, I miss understood. I made a big mistake making a reservation at Hampton Inn Panama City. There is more but your staff attitude will not do anything but blame me so I have wasted more of my valuable time.
