Checks the boxes. This is a basic hotel that is clean, newly renovated (at least the room I was in) and the staff are friendly enough. It is walkable distance to centro (ca. 15 minutes) if you're capable. Otherwise it is a five minute taxi ride. This will be my go to hotel when I am visiting Padua.

Nice hotel, firm beds, good service
Very good hotel about 25 minutes' walk away from the center. Very helpful staff. No problem leaving your luggage for a while before checking in or after checking out. Very nice breakfast with a barista making coffee and a lot of choices. Wifi was strong and reliable. Bed very firm (which I like, though some might not). One little thing was that noise from other rooms or from the hallway was noticeable. (A crying child seemingly stood outside my room early one morning for 15 minutes--not exactly the hotel's fault.) I was not, however, bothered by noise from outside the hotel. Only heard a few ambulances, but not that bad.

L'hotel è carino, non si trova in centro ma con una passeggiata di 20/30 minuti si possono raggiungere le principali attrazioni. La camera era molto spaziosa e funzionale.

An enjoyable stay
Enjoyable stay, booked an hour beforehand to get out of the bad weather. Staff were friendly, room was clean and only a 5 min walk to the town centre. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Good location, but the room is not comfortable
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for one night to visit the town. The hotel is well located and it is only a very short walk to where all the historic buildings and shops are. We had to pay for parking, which was 8 Euros for the night. We were able to leave our car in the carpark till 1pm the following day, which was helpful. The room was a bit on the small side and we were glad to be staying for only night. It was also a ground floor room which wasn't very comfortable as we felt like we were looked in on when we had to open the window. The room was very warm and the aircon did not work. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was very small. Overall it was good based on the location, but I would not stay again.

Very good location, only about 15 on foot to the old city. Parking should be paid extra 7 euro, but it wort. Easy to reach hotel from A4! All at al,l it worth money for accommodation.

Nice little place
Lovely staff and could speak English very well. Guided me best on what activities were possible even though I had a short stay there. I would say the rooms were a little too warm even though I turned the air con up to the maximum. Walking distance to nice restaurants. Enjoyed my time! Thank you!

Highly recommend it! Great staff!
Everything was excellent. Great stay. It IS next to a hospital, so expect ambulance sirens all day if you keep the window open, but I would definitely go back! Highly recommend it!

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel was charming. Although on a busy street, the room was quiet. The hotel is not in the old city but is very close. One problem was that although the Hotels.com website indicated that breakfast was included, an extra 7 euro per person was charged.

This hotel was easy to find We were allowed to check in at 11 am when we arrived, since they had a room available. We did need to use our car to get to the center of town. There must be a hospital near by as we could hear the ambulance sirens passing by, although our room faced thre parking lot. The price was reasonable. We did not have the breakfast for €8.

relaxing stay
The hotel is amazing value for money. Strange location beside the hospital and on a main road but easily walked around Padova. The economy room was small but had everything needed. The spa area was amazing - hired a robe for €5 for the stay and could relax in absolute bliss.

The hotel is on a busy street, not getting a feeling of an old town, relatively outside the town center but it is walkable to the attractions. The staff was not very friendly, we did not get our passports back until after a few hours.

overnight stop before ferry to VEnice
We needed to sleep overnight somewhere cheap, park the car, get some breakfast in order to get the ferry to Greece from Venice the next morning. We arrived at 6:30pm, parked our car easily. Staff is really welcoming and helpful. Room was small, clean, A/C worked ok. Not too noisy as we faced the back yard, but if one is too fussy about noise, then yes, you can hear the ambulances O/N. Didn't bother us. Walk to the center is about 10min and the center is lovely. Overall, for such, purposes, I would stay again.

Good location
Hotel is in the immediate vicinity of the hospital and it appears many of hospital patrons and families stay there. It is about 15-20 min walk to the Center and University. Not too many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was great, and you can also get something to drink later in the day from the receptionist. Staff was very friendly, perhaps with one exception when female staff could not be bothered to pinpoint exactly where a public city bus stop was. Wireless was spotty most of the time, good for smartphone but not for serious work online with a laptop. It is easy to get a cab which arrives within 2-3 min. Bathroom very spacious and up to very good standard. However, bed linens/blankets are quite outdated. TV was small but we were not there quite for that so we did not try if it worked well.

Disappointed
The staff was not very friendly or helpful and spoke very limited English. The information given by the hotel on the quality of the breakfast is very misleading. This was one of the worst breakfasts we have had on our 3 week vacation in Italy! Coffee wasn't even included with the breakfast but had to be ordered and paid for separately. The second morning there was no staff available to make coffee or replenish the food. The Internet (which was an extra charge) was through the TV with a keyboard which seems rather arduous and archaic.

L’albergo è situato vicino al centro di Padova e il personale impiegato è molto gentile e cerca sempre di venirti in contro. Purtroppo però la camera, una doppia con letto matrimoniale era molto angusta, inoltre non esiste un interruttore per accendere la luce in bagno, a parte quello piccolino sotto lo specchio. La colazione completa costa 8 euro, ma non è assolutamente all’altezza di questa cifra Per caricare la batteria dell’auto elettrica mi hanno chiesto 13 euro !! Inoltre se prenoti con Expedia non ti rilasciano la fattura. Poiché viaggiavo per lavoro, dopo molte preghiere la signora dell’albergo me ne ha rilasciata una la cui cifra però era decurtata di quanto si tiene EXPEDIA. Assurdo!

L'Hotel Maritan propone varie tipologie e metrature di camere, con varie tariffe, la matrimoniale da Lei prenotata, la "economy" è la più piccola di dimensioni tra le tre, le dimensioni sono comunque proporzionate alla tariffa, essendo una tipologia di camera molto richiesta dai nostri ospiti. La luce del bagno di accende direttamente dallo specchio per nostra scelta e risulta generalmente apprezzata. La nostra colazione a buffet dolce/salato ha attualmente un gradimento altissimo pari a 8,4 su 10, da parte nostra riteniamo di offrire una vasta scelta con un ottimo rapporto prezzo/qualità. Per quanto riguarda la fattura, a norma di legge, l'hotel può fatturare solo la parte che incassa; la parte di commissione trattenuta dall'agenzia può essere a Sua volta fatturata, facendone richiesta direttamente a loro.La ringraziamo per il Suo soggiorno e la invitiamo a tornare provando le nostre camere di tipologia superiore, appena ristrutturate.
