Getting right to the point, I wanted to thank Marita for her amazing help and smiles through out the stay. The first night was a bit of a disaster - situated on the third floor, noisy people (not sure if the sound came from the street or the hotel) kept me awake until 4 am. It was as if the walls didn't exist (without an a/c, had the windows opened).
Thank goodness, I was able to move to the higher floor on the opposite side of the street, and slept much better. Almost gave a 5 star, but then what do I give truly outstanding places like some JW Marriott and Hilton?
Here's a quick summary:
The good:
- Really appreciated the staff, especially Marita
- The room (on the higher floor) was quite nice
- Breakfast was also quite good
- Strong water pressure for the shower
- Location is great - 6 minutes walk to the central station, 10 minutes walk to the main area of the town
The bad:
- If you get stuck with the wrong side of the hotel, noise at night
- No a/c
- No iron and could use more cabinet space
The hotel also has coffee / tea 24/7 near the lobby area, which was very helpful.
I'd stay here again but only on the higher floor, and away from the street
