We had such an enjoyable stay at The Islander Inn. This is the second time that we have stayed here. The rooms are so nice and clean and they come in Daily to make up your beds and give you fresh towels. The breakfast is amazing. So many choices and such great time so that you can actually sleep in in the morning. The pools were clean and it was amazing having an indoor pool for when the water was too cold outside to swim. Easy access to the beach. It felt safe and our only complaint was that it was supposed to be a smoke-free Hotel, but every time you sat on your balcony, you could smell people smoking cigarettes and marijuana. Obviously I know that this is not the hotels fault. But, that was disappointing when we were trying to relax on the balcony.
The close proximity to the beach was very delightful, the staff were very friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. The room was prepared and clean for the stay, and even the view of just the island was spectacular as well as the ocean view from the breezeways and parking lot. Will recommend and likely stay here again!
I like that it is right on the beach! Everyone was friendly. We checked in on a Thursday and left on Monday. During this time no once came to freshen up the room. The floors are laminate, so if you got sand on the floor, it stayed there. We had to go to the front desk to ask for new towels each time we needed them. Looks like they are trying to make some renovations, but it's still dated.
Quite clean room and bathroom, impeccable sheets, impeccable kitchen, I was impressed with the cleanliness, congratulations to the cleaning staff, the only bad thing is that one of the chairs on the balcony had bird pupu but it is not the fault of those who clean, in general I loved it and I will book at this hotel again.

Beautiful view. On beach. Grandkids loved the indoor pool. Nice staff. Adjoining rooms. Great family inn! Beach walks and kids running on the beach allowed lots of family time and exercise.
Upon arrival front desk staff were not very welcoming. Hotel ad stated disability friendly. I disagree! When i reserved the room i stated that I was on oxygen. The elevator that i had to use to get to my room was to the far end of the property even after going up had to walk long hall through several buildings to room. The breakfast room the same. Drink machines were open out of order. We left the free breakfast to far to walk.
On top of that hotel property was under some type of construction. This was soppose to be a trip celebration of my Veteran. Needless to say he did not enjoy his trip either!
First trip to Brunswick County Beaches and a first to go to a beach off season. Weather was 75 and water cold but our two year old grandson couldn’t get enough. The indoor pool was also a favorite for him and the hotel and beach not crowded. Affordable nice room — We will go in November again and stay here again!
Always amazing with oceanfront view. ALL the staff were exceptional & responded quickly to our every need. The room was perfect—only issue were the sheets & pillowcases were scratchy & rough probably from being laundered so much. Other than that little minor thing we will definitely be back & always stay at the Islander Inn.
The location of the Islander Inn is ideal. The beach is absolutely the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The hotel itself is just a little tired. The bed linens and towels were in need of replacement as they were threadbare and pretty tattered. The included continental breakfast was just okay. That said, it was a decent value for the low room rates.
Check in was fast, nice to have elevator and rooms clean, smelled wonderful. Close to pier and beach. Plenty of parking. Standard continental breakfast, nothing special. Only notable issue would be quality of towels, etc. They were very thin and small.
