We had an issue with the bathroom and after two days they offered us to move to another room. Staff are really nice but the hotel needs a little renovation I’d say.

Hotel Victoria is located just outside of Centro district and is perched on a hill, offering amazing views of Oaxaca de Juarez. The staff are lovely. They are friendly, courteous and always available to assist. English is not easily understood by many but that is part of the charm. Sadly, the hotel has fallen into disrepair after so many years. The pool is crumbling and the walkways to it as well. This hotel is not for the mobility challenged. The carpets and curtains in the room are desperately needing replacement. Both the sink and the toilet in our room had cracks that will only get worse. No art on the walls of the hotel rooms just left things looking bleak. If you are not too fussy, it's a great place to stay for a few days as they have a free night shuttle to Centro and that was much appreciated. You get what you pay for, I suppose and the nightly rate somewhat reflects it. The bed was comfy and the linens were very clean and the AC worked. What more can you want!

Staff very kind, place clean. However the hotel holds parties with loud music that can be heard from anywhere. Once the music was shut off at around 11:30 pm. The second time the loud music and noise was held until 1:30 am. I was pissed due to the lack of consideration from the management to the guests who need to have a quiet and restful night.

Too much distance between hotel and Simmer of town very close to a busy road, other than that it was a wonderful place to stay, and had a shuttle bus, and only ran in the evenings Tuesday until Saturday, I did not run on Sunday and I think it only ran Monday morning

This Hotel has a great pool and green areas very welcoming. The shower handle was broken in our room other than that I love this hotel they provide a shuttle to downtown.

Have stayed at this property several times. I enjoy the grounds and the space as well as the restaurant and bar area. The beds are comfortable but the rooms could use some maintenance. On Friday late afternoon/evening the bar was taken over by a loud, private group. The noise and music continued until midnight which was annoying.

The hotel was nice, staff was great. However, there wasn't a fridge in the room, no ice machine on the property, it's on a very steep hill and not at all walkable to town, unless you're climber. The hotel shuttle only runs once an hour starting at 6pm. During the day you walk in the heat or take a taxi.

I liked the view of Centro Oaxaca. I didn’t like the difficulty in getting to the pool. I am an amputee & all the rocks & steepness are difficult for me to handle.

Water pressure high which caused sink and toilet leaks. A nail clipping found on bed. Staff are nice and helpful which why they received 2 stars. Many updates needed but booking was only overnight and last minute.

I stayed here five days and really enjoyed the lovely views and fresh air from this hilltop location. it has a lovely large pool with restaurant service. The daily breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. I loved the clean large pool with the beautiful surround. There are many floors, and there is no elevator if that’s a concern. The Staff and service were excellent. The hotel is in need of updating the lack of outlets in the rooms, but this place really grew on me and I would stay there again. It’s about a 15-30 minute walk into the centro, but it’s downhill and we took inexpensive taxis back.

This is a great find, and excellent value for money. As with a lot of hotels in Oaxaca, it's relatively basic - however benefits from a large outdoor swimming pool and lounging area, and in room coffee facilities. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. It's a little out of the centre, but taxis are inexpensive and there's a free shuttle service to/from downtown each evening. The hotel seems very popular with Mexican visitors. We didn't have breakfast but there was a large buffet selection. It has the feel of a luxury hotel that's fallen from grandeur over the years, and is set in time. It is however charming and I would stay here again.

Great hotel 10 minutes from the center of f the city. Beautiful grounds, so quiet, large swimming chlorinated pool. Staff, from housekeeping to the security gate guard to the reception were very helpful, polite, friendly. Room with multiple outlets, very clean and comfortable and very quiet. I would gladly go back to stay!

A Oaxaca Hilltop Gem!
Comfortable, very clean room. Great view of the city from our window! No elevator, but we were okay with the stairs up to the third (top) floor. Fabulous breakfast buffet and gorgeous al fresco cocktail lounge. Great service from everyone on the staff. I especially loved the beautiful pool.

I didn't care for the room and didn't have blinds, but had a great breakfast at the restaurant El Tule , love the buffet selection, the hot station and the Oaxacan hot chocolate , love the convenience of parking over all a great stay
