Area where the Hotel is situated it is inconvenient it surrounded by to many RV'S habitat by homeless and drug addicts' that should be remove from the city of Oakland and place them some where else they give bad impression to visitors although the Hotel in their staff do what they can to make feel guess good.

Before I got to this property I kinda knew some of the things on this apps were true. But to get to see it it’s scary. Our taxi driver didn’t even want to drop us off because of the areas. It’s unsafe. The breakfast worker was nice. I do understand that it’s under renovation but it’s should not have book guests for these room. Our carpets were peeling off from the floor, paint were bad as well our room look like they’re unfinished repairs whatever it is. The area we knew that was bad that’s expected when I booked it. Overall it’s a 1 and half night stay so we sucked it out.

Room review When arriving we noticed the entire surrounding of the property has homeless encampments. At night thankfully they have agate and guard who checks your room number and name. At check we joined a sign that said “Breathe easy we are now smoke free!” This is clearly not the case because the entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke including the room. After checking in we were given room number 330. When we tried the the key it did not work until around attempt 10 but once we opened the door we noticed it was occupied. Thankfully nobody was in the room at the time but it had luggage, a purse etc. as someone was clearly staying there. This was a HUGE mistake by staff and made us very concerned and uncomfortable, I could not imagine someone opening our door thinking we are safe in our room. I let the staff know she did not apologize or anything she just laughed when I said to please not give OUR key to anyone else… we got a different room once again the key didn’t work until I tried it about 12 times then we notice a sign that said “under construction” the room smelled like fresh paint and was directly outside the elevator. I asked for another room and thankfully it was a bit better but right away smelled extremely strong like a cigarette smoke filled motel, not at all a pleasant experience. The bed was pretty comfortable and we luckily slept well although the walls were thin.

The beds were Stained. The hot tub didn’t work. I felt unsafe outside facility. The elevator felt like it was gonna break, made all kinds of weird noises doors were making noises when shutting grinding noises.

Found a bug and mouse trap in room and my 1 year old son found it and put in his mouth. Property is run down, its in a bad area homeless everwhere, didnt feel safe. From out of town and would never come to this location again. Very bad experience.

It was in an untidy place with homeless RVs, trash and stuff surrounding the property. And they were out of breakfast scrambled eggs by 9am though breakfast window was till 9:30. Oh well

The lady in the front was very unpleasant. The check in was horrible, the system was down and you would think there would have been more customer service but there wasn't. The location is HORRIBLE did not feel safe at all. We will never stay here again!!!!

From the high spiked fence and security guard separating the property from the huge homeless encampment in front of it to the worn out check-in area or the graffiti marred elevator. This was probably the worst place I've ever stayed. My non-smoking room smelled terribly of stale smoke, and there were a lot of people smoking outside so you had to wade through an awful stench as you walked into the building. There was a mountain of trash just outside of the security fence, and trash that had been tossed into the parking lot. I didn't feel that my car was particularly safe. The shuttle bus to the airport didn't even start until 7:00 a.m., way too late for someone with a 7:00 a.m. flight. I was too tired that evening or I would have somebody checked in someplace else and walked away from this awful property.

Fooring in between bathroom and beds was a major tripping hazzard. Staff told me there was a shuttle and there was not. Hotel in the middle of ghetto. Do not recommend if u have kids

The pictures on the web site are deceptive. We arrived to the homeless camped out literally on the street in front of the building. Or bathing in the pool. The entire property smells of pot the staff are rude and inconsiderate the elevator isn’t up to code with buttons missing and at no time day or night should you go walking down to the gas station. After seeing the rom we quickly checked out and left.

The place is okay considering the price. The only thing that I didn't like was the homeless campers outside and also the smell of weed coming from the room next to us which is also a "nonsmoking" room.

Regarding the weed smell we try our best to enforce our no smoking policy and there are penalities for these guests who do not abide by the hotel policies. We want to assure you that providing a clean and comfortable environment is our top priority. Lastly, we appreciate your insights on the atmosphere and our pricing we always aim to create a welcoming space for all kinds of travelers and derive importance from providing excellent service.
