"Had a wonderful experience. Arrived really late and called ahead to let them know. They were very kind. Check in was easy. Room was very clean and comfortable and plenty of room. Chose no housekeeping the first day but when we ran out of amenities the 2nd day and requested housekeeping everything was filled and addressed promptly. Every staff member was so kind, polite and friendly. Will definitely stay here again."

"The King room I stayed in had been partially updated and was clean and comfortable. The mattress and bedding were comfortable and the room included a nice large tv and cable. The bathroom remodel was done poorly however and looked like someone slapped a plastic wall panel on top of the original tile shower wall and was held together cheaply with large amounts of caulk. The free breakfast looked good but I didn’t eat. The hallways of the hotel are dark, dingy and look very dated and off putting. There is also an hint of old smoke smell in the lobby, even though it is now a smoke free hotel. Overall, I thought the hotel was ok for the $135 I paid in June. The only other minor issue I had was I found a tick on the shower curtain (which is weird) and a good sized spider on the bathroom wall. There are nicer hotels in the area for a higher price, but if you are on a budget and want a basic hotel with mostly updated rooms in the Brainerd / Baxter area, this hotel is not a bad option."

"The bed was good. Toilet seat slid around almost fell off. Had to move the fridge to have a n outlet for the coffee pot. TV needed a pin to get service, called the help number they did not know what it was. Swimming pool was not accesibles was not told until the day before my reservation."

"Friendly staff ,nice accommodations, great place for the kids to stay and play in the water park area. We wish water was available with breakfast but we had to purchase it at the gift shop... that was the only thing we would like changed about our stay! Everything else was great!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Grand View Lodge! The grounds were lovely with plenty of opportunities for activities for all age groups. The buffet breakfast (added charge) was worth it!"

"When we arrived to check in we were notified by the staff that we’d have to change cabins the next day. They said it’s because the resort is a timeshare and the owner wants to use the cabin we’re staying in the next day. They said they’d move us to cabin 13. We asked why we couldn’t go to cabin 13 and they said because it’s not clean yet. I suspect that we were supposed to be in cabin 13 originally but they didn’t get it clean in time. This made our two night stay not so relaxing. We already had to navigate around some events we had to attend, and then we had to take the time to move into a second cabin the next day, including unloading and reloading the fridge. You’d think they would try to make up for this inconvenience, but no, they only offered to allow us to cancel our stay and find somewhere else to stay last minute."
