Our resent stay at Chestnut Bed and Breakfast in Ontario was nothing, but constant disbelieve. We visited many Bed and Breakfasts but this one was the best we ever stayed in. The charming house was exactly as described on the website: excellent location, beautiful full of character in rooms, free Wi-Fi, parking, and extremely friendly staff helping with any questions we might have. The house offers a separate room for making tea or coffee. Breakfast was off the charts (wonderful French toast, poach eggs, sausages and fresh bakes croissants, fresh fruits, muffins, and bagels,) served by the nicest ladies Pam and Robin. We even got some of the food packed to take it with us ,since we had 7 hours’ drive back home. I would recommend it to my friends and stay there again!! Iwona & Lenny

Chestnut Inn is an old charming property along River Road. It is quiet and comfortable and Robin, the host, is attentive and accommodating.

We had a very nice stay. The place is clean and pretty. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. It's very convenient to all things Niagara Falls. We'd stay again.

We were thankful for the clean, quiet atmosphere in the mansion. It was easy to find, and not far from the viewing areas of the falls. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The staff were very cheery and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Rose Room. The bed was comfortable, but the one set of blinds were in bad need of replacement, and the shower enclosure was too small for the tub (we are small people). It was impossible to keep the shower curtain away from your body.

Staying at The Chestnut Inn was a very efficient, generous and charming experience. Would recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit surrounding area e.g. Niagara Falls, Weir Gallery in Queenston ( excellent), Butterfly & Flower "Museum" and Whirlpool opportunities.

Good service from the staff. Hotel needs some TLC
The 2 ladies that look after the place provided a good friendly service. Had a nice chat with them at the communal Breakfast. They do not own the property. The following is certainly not a review on the service but of the hotel itself. We stayed in the loft room. Some of the blinds were damaged and others had parts missing that would make them difficult to close if you don't know how they work and hence it isn't really possible to keep the light out in the mornings. The bathroom needs repair/updating and the whole place is looking a little tired, the pictures were clearly taken many years ago.

Great b&b
Robin was a fantastic host! It was a cute bed and breakfast that had a very Victorian feel. It was my first b&b and the breakfast was great. Only minor complaint is that the shower head is a bit low (I'm only 5'10 and my head was above) for anyone that have an issue with that. Otherwise a completely lovely stay.

Very late breakfast
Lovely, well-appointed place! Very comfortable bed. The breakfast is served quite late, not till 9 am. So we skipped it because we wanted to beat the crowds at the local sites.

The beds were a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was served promptly at 9:00 am however it was average at best. The host smoked inside when it was suppose to be a nonsmoking bed and breakfast. Great location for the falls and NOTL. Not positive I would stay there again.

The place is okay. One mile from falls. Service not helpful. Rude personnel. Breakfast starts too late after 9am when tours pick you up earlier. No answer to the “service phone number”. Poor lightning in the bedroom. I wouldn’t stay here again. There are many other places to choose from.

What a wonderful stay we had at Chestnut Inn. The place is historic and within walking distance to the falls. Also a 20 min or so drive to Niagara on The Lake. The parking is ample, and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. We cannot say enough about the staff. They were wonderful and breakfast was amazing. We were that 5 days and could have stayed about 5 days.

The location is great, 20 min walk to Clifton hills (famous street in Niagara Falls), and if you don’t wanna walk there is a bus stop just few steps from the Inn. Robin was very helpful and responded quickly when I messaged her. The only downside that I found is that the bathtub hadn’t been cleaned from the previous host.

This is property is at a great location and 20 mins walk to Niagra Falls. We like the area and staff is super friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is the major highlight of this place. Amazing Breakfast we had. Would love to stay over the next visit.

Staff are really nice and eager to assist. Our room was at the loft. No proper lighting on the staircase on the first 2 nights. My partner had a fall on the stair. The back entrance has a strong cigarette odour. Nice breakfast. Overall, the property requires some TLC.
