"Fantastic stately home with lovely gardens. We had the cheapest room on the third floor and it was fine. The evening meal was ok but not fantastic. There is plenty to do and must be a golfers paradise. The ground floor rooms were magnificent"

4 Feb 2020Newton Abbot isn't a bustling town, but it's a good town for general shopping. Don't expect quirky individual shops (go to Totnes for that), but they do have a good selection of chain stores, Austins an independent department store & an indoor market
