The staff was very friendly and welcoming gave us enough information and recommendations around the area, the suite was very clean and comfortable however the only issue was parking they don’t have their own lot so if you have a car you have to go look for street parking and unfortunately that’s very difficult to find we ended up getting two parking citations which were very pricey wish we would’ve known were exactly to park

We stayed here 2 nights. It is close to Times Square, Grand Central station, shows, etc. The staff was really nice and genuinely went out of their way to assist us. The room was larger than I expected being in Manhattan. We were given plenty of towels, a variety of toiletries and things, etc. There is a great taco stand next door. Try it. You’ll love it. I am making plans to come back to The Doxie now.

location is prime!! 4 blocks away both penn station and time square (walkable both) as described "2 stars hotel" couldn't expect much entrance very tiny with somekind of hostel big luggages beware, you have to keep them under your bed, while opening on your bed spacious bathroom, good water pressure and temp, lack of sink space

The room has no temperature control. It was so hot, we couldn't sleep. Also, the door to our hotel room was open when we checked in. There were crumbs on the table from a previous guest. Would not recommend

Ok place to crash in the city. Window air conditioning unit that blows right into the bathroom door. No way to control the heat. Had to run air conditioner constantly so it wasn't too hot in the room.

Crash pad. Tiny and odd. The hotel Location and it's bunk beds are what works. Two men , we got a full bed & a bunk bed. Price per bed only way to justify the price.

This is a cute little place to stay for couples or single people traveling. It’s close enough to Times Square but far way enough that you don’t have to deal with all the hassle and bussel that Times Square offers. We got a family room and loved it. It’s a very small place but feels very New York. There are some great places to eat nearby and we really loved the property. I’d definitely stay here again!!

This place is pretty convenient and has many places to go to around the area. The room was clean. I love the room, only downside was that it particularly small, but it did give a homey vibe. Definitely will consider this place on the future.

First, this is a small property in a very small footprint compared to other hotels. That being said, this was a very cool hotel and perfect for a quick trip into the city! Clean, friendly staff, quiet, and the rooms, while very small, were perfect. We had a room with two twin beds, so I don’t know if other bed choices are larger, but we LOVED the sparse decor, that still had everything we needed. The bathroom was also very nice. We travel to NYC often for auditions and lessons with singing coaches, and have stayed in all sizes of hotels of varying qualities (big, but not clean; clean but off the beaten path, etc.), but this was a charming hotel and an enjoyable stay—highly recommend!

Super sure chill location and friendly staff. I was a bit nervous to travel by my own for the first time to a big city like New York but Dixie has given me a welcome and safe place to stay in the central of New York. It’s easy to get out to have very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner and all kind of food around the corner, I found very tasty Asian food around the hotel when I wanted to try something new. I loved the bathroom too good space and cleaned, sweetness smell of soap and champoo too. Oh I loved my staying there after walking around and out to grab a cocktail so I felt safe to walk to the hotel just right from the corner. Thank you so much Doxie for the very nice price and safe - clean place in NY city

Not what I expect for the area and the price, we expend similar prices around with better stay Around the entrance of the hotel it’s not good at all cool out site but too warm inside the room don’t have ac system only small ac at the window beds are ok bathroom was clean but the big concern it’s the entrance location inside hallways and not feel completely safe room inside condition is acceptable with couple concerns but I think the price is little high in comparison other hotels around with better conditions

This hotel is in a great location with comfortable rooms. I like that they had rooms with twin beds since I was traveling with elderly parents and a child. Very good staff.

Doxie was perfect for our family. Short walk to subway and Time Square. Nice staff. Plenty of space. It was pretty cold in the room because of the central heating, but they gave us a heater. I enjoyed our stay at the Doxie. I would recommend to families!

Great little place.
Was a great little hotel for a girls weekend and the price was right. The rooms are not spacious but they are clean. We didn’t spend much time in the room other than to sleep. One complaint was that there was no temperature control in our room. The temperature was fine, but it would be nice to control it yourself. The second room we booked for our group the tv remote didn’t work right. Overall it was great for what we needed it for: a place to sleep and shower. We would come back. Easy to walk to many attractions.

Doxie Hotel is a hidden gem! Clean and spacious! Excellent staff! There were some areas under renovation but that did not impact our stay at all! The elevator is small but a minimal sacrifice for all the wonderful attributes it boasts!

I was pleasantly surprise at how quiet the room was- very little traffic noise, no noise from the adjacent rooms. The staff was superb, super kind, and helped make sure our bags were stored safely so that we could go explore without lugging our bags with us. It was a perfect place for a quick weekend trip to the big apple.

complete honest review for the mfs who actually wanna know what it’s like here: doxie hotel is p cheap so idk why y’all have expectations that it’s going to be luxurious. it has everything that you need + decent beds. for the location, it’s an amazing hotel. do not listen to the 1 star reviews. just entitled customers. if you wanna stay in NYC for a few days it’s great. longer? probably consider a more expensive hotel but this hotel delivered perfectly for me and my family.
