Horrible hotel and the front desk staff is even worse. We checked in at 4pm and was told our room wasn't ready for 30 mins. At 630pm we were told it wouldn't be ready until 730 which would have made us miss our dinner reservations. We canceled and changed hotels. The girl at the front desk cpuld care less about our situation

I liked the old world charm of being in the French Quarter. The hotel is easily accessible. Staff members were very attentive. They replaced toiletries everyday. The negatives were that facecloths hadn’t come back from the cleaners on the first day, so there were none the first night. The carpet in my room was very old and stained.

It was our first time staying here at this property. It was the cutest decor i have ever seen. Place was clean and the staff was very polite. Will definitely book here again.

Average older hotel close to Bourbon st, very noisy late into the night. Cars driving past with music blaring and revving their engines until 2 or 3 am. Bar on property doesn’t open until 4 pm and there is no restaurant on site. House rooms are a bit dingy-could use a refresh. On positive note there is onsite parking, refreshing salt water pool and friendly staff and guests can get free coffee in the lobby each morning . Close walking distance to many restaurants and sites. Place is economical but bring ear plugs if you value peace and quiet at night.

we notified the front desk that our tv was not working. they sent maintenance up and he said "yup, we've been having trouble with this one." He left and never came back, and we didn't get a call back. this was on Tuesday 5/14. We called back on Thursday, and were told, "That tv never worked and you should have been moved to another room." Horrible communication. We requested a reimbursement or some form of compensation.

Our stay was great. Staff was amazing. It did rain a considerable amount while we were there and all the windows leaked. They are old buildings, I get that, but some work on the windows is greatly needed. Would definitely stay here again though.

We stayed 3 nights and despite the location it was very quiet. We didn’t find need for a car or Uber as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Room was very clean but a bit dated. Biggest complaint is the rooms are quite dark even with shutters open had to have the lights on and if you are wanting to do makeup bring a light with you, even the bathroom lights are dim. Overall good experience and a decent affordable place to stay in the Drench Quarter.

Had a great room In the carriage house. Close to bourbon street and all that fun. Downfall. Close to bourbon street and all that noise! Staff was great and pool was nice.

My mother and I have been staying at the Dauphine hotel for many years. Our 1st couple of visits were great with a super breakfast available and even a complimentary drink from May Bailey's bar next door. But our last 2 visits have been disappointing there was absolutely no breakfast avail in the main house , no compliment drink, our bed was very uncomfortable and badly sagging to the point my mother and I could hardly sleep and our backs and shoulders were hurting so bad we could hardly move when we got up. The front desk staff was always very accommodating and we have always had the privilege of having Jessica be there to see that we were happy with any room change or whatever she could to make our stay as wonderful as was possible. We do love the Dauphine for the convenience and the valet parking on site is a definite plus and affordable. But sadly for whatever reason the amenities have greatly suffered and made us reconsider booking with another hotel for any future visits We would just love to see the grand old Dauphine return to a more fulfilling amenity rich hotel of days gone by.

We noticed the room was dingy upon check-in, but we tried to remain optimistic. Then we realized our room had a severe leak soaking the carpet that had only been patched up not solved and the room they moved us to had to mold on the vents. Jasmine one of the desk attendants was extremely rude and unwelcoming unfortunately. Every other employee we came across was hardworking, exhibited customer service etiquette, and a little bit of kindness. The rules about the use of the singular microwave in the building were also unclear. Great location and customer service on day 1 and 2 made our experience better despite overwhelming low quality and one impolite employee.

The place was very dark. Two small lamps barely lit up the room. The elevators were completely dark. I had to use a flashlight inside the elevator to see which floor. It was quiet and safe, however. The free coffee service only had powdered milk. Whenever you'd ask for real milk the answer was " it's on order." I like old elegance but this was shabby elegance.

This was a nice cozy place, every staff members i came across was super kind and friendly. Great location, literally a block away from the middle of bourbon street, and close distance to french market. I definitely recommend this place and will return.

The walls are so thin you can hear everything..and I mean EVERYTHING going on in the room above and next to you. The huge metal door you have to key in to get in or out SLAMS loudy every time! You can hear loud cars driving by blaring bass! The carpet is old and dirty. The bathtub was dirty. I would not ever stay here again.

No refrigerator or microwave. No garbage bags in the in the garbage cans. I couldn’t figure out the shower.. Woke up the gal at the front desk . She told me Maintanance guy not available for a few hours. She let me shower in a different empty room that had a balcony. Paid almost $400 a night and didn’t get a room with a view or a balcony. Would not ever stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and the location is located within easy walking distance from Bourbon street and Royal street. Jackson square is within reasonable distance. The valet parking was also a plus as parking in the general area is not good. The french quarter can be easily explored from this location.

Liked how close it was to everything but the only thing i didn’t like was that the valet was $45 dollars a night and did not have over night valet.
