We love staying in the lodge because of the balcony. But talk about filthy… You could write your name on all the furniture in the dust. No cups in the bathroom, no regular coffee, one coffee cup. But the staff is phenomenal. But nowhere to eat anything decent after 8 PM. The sports bar says they’re open till 10 but they don’t say there’s no food after eight. They have raised the rates quite a bit, but we still like coming here cause it’s convenient to our property two hours away.

I was very disappointed that no coffee was available anywhere in the morning, i drank the coffee in my room the night before, therefore expected coffee available in the lobby in the morning, since the only restaurant that serves coffee doesn't open until 7am. I was also disappointed that the spa was not open during the week as i took my mother and was going to surprise her with a facial treatment, why can't someone be on-call? Seems like only the people that book on weekends get the better experience. Restaurant hours are very inconvenient. On a positive note the staff at the bar was very friendly, and the room was very clean! I will come back, as i do like this venue,

The room for over $240 for one night was disgusting. Crumbs all in the mattress, hair on the sink and shower wall, yellow stains around the faucet and on the ceiling in the bathroom. Staff was accommodating to give us a new room but I would still never stay here again.

The room was clean and good sized. Food options are limited. The steak sandwich was excellent. Overcharging ATM 6.99 Bottle of soda $4 Hinges on bathroom door were rusted and rust was running onto the door frame.

Had to return to the desk 3 times for check in, after being told at 2:30 the room would be ready at 3 instead of 4. At 3:55 room still not available (after waiting in line for quite some time) and actually told to get back in line because a phone call could not be made until 4:00.

very clean the hotel room we had. what we didn't care for is when we checked in, the check in lady kept harping about a players card. We told her we didn't have one, but she did insist us to get one. told her once we we settled in, we will get one. she tell us about the $10 free play. We haven't been there for years. We will come back again though. This issue will not keep us from staying at the Mountaineer.

Very clean, friendly staff. Rooms large in hotel (cant speak as to lodge). Drinks at bars reasonably priced as compared to other casinos in PA ans MD. Downside only 1 dining option on a monday night after 7. Surrounding area does not have any restaurants etc. Will definitrly go back.

Everything was nice as far as the resort goes very clean and convenient the bed was very comfortable! but the casino slot machines were tight and didn't pay 😞 hardly at all so I feel people won't go there if they feel like they can't win a little of their money back!

Just bypass the hotel
When we arrived at our room it was ok, outdated but ok you could see the floor wasn’t vacuumed. But the bathroom … hair in the bathroom door more than 3 the side of the tub if u really look was dirty. I didnt Take pics of inside the tub it was dirty and the tub facet constantly leaked so that was hard to sleep over. I immediately went to the front desk where I was Told their was no manager to say something upon checkout.. ok that does me no good now.. we didn’t shower the whole weekend. Checkout time I was Told by a manager their not in charge of cleaning she could call the cleaning supervisor she may have time to talk to me. May? Talk about pass the buck! I just Told the manager I dont Have time for a Maby..

The mahogany "sports bar" should be renamed restaurant. We had a party of twelve, but the manager wouldn't allow the staff to combine tables to accommodate us or turn up the volune on the televisions while the football game wss on. Instead we had to listen to pop music. Even the food for the sports bar was brought accross the building on a dirty cart. Don't think that we'll be eating there again.

We love this place.. great to have a few drinks gamble and head safely back to the room. The only issue we have ever had was at checkin.. the front desk staff is not the most attentive or friendly..during check in the other, the girl was more interested in talking on her phone than checking us in.

The only restaurant open, Gatsby restaurant had low quality and expensive food. The bathtub drain plug did not hold water and the phone in the room was unable to connect with the front desk. I also found out upon arrival that Expedia charges $60 per day more than if you book the hotel directly

We booked months ahead but when we arrived we were put in the old part of hotel instead of new part and we were not happy about that. The hotel was not packed at all which is why we should have been placed in the nicer newer part of hotel. Also, the hotel smelled so badly of smoke, we were congested and coughing all night. We are non-smokers and we smelled of smoke horribly.

Convenient to stay if you like gambling
Rooms are showing its age! Bathrooms require major remodeling. They won't allow checkout after 11 am which is not convenient! After playing in casino for the entire night they expect guests to leave by 11!!

Many workers were very nice, polite and pleasant however we had a three bad experiences with two of the woman at the front desk. Very rude, abrupt and unhelpful.

Good value for a reasonable price.
Check in was fast and easy. The room was nicely appointed. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The only reason I did not rate as excellent was that instead of having housekeeping clean the rooms daily (was for a three night stay) or even providing towels and other things, we were told that we have to call the front desk and ask for them (which, in all fairness to them, that may be due to post-covid policies). Hotel was pet friendly. Would recommend.
