Bodega Navarro Correas is one of Argentina’s leading wineries and home to a famous sparkling white wine. Take a free gourmet wine tour and taste a range of vintages paired with cheeses. Explore the sprawling vineyards and learn about their history.
The winery began in 1798, when Juan de Dios Correas planted his first vines near Mendoza. The vineyard produced wines for other wineries until 1974, when Edmundo Navarro Correas decided to produce his own distinctive brand under the Correas name. Taste wines from this environmentally sustainable winery, which have been developed over the course of two centuries.
As you arrive at the winery, admire the contemporary architecture of its production buildings, framed by the vineyards beyond. Its modern industrial roofing and large glass panels give the building a sense of sophistication.
Take a guided tour, available in English, to learn about the vineyard’s winemaking techniques. Hear from the winemakers and discover the vital differences that occur in grape flavour when they are moved between different microclimates. Tours include a visit to the vineyard’s rustic cellars, which contain 5,500 barrels.
Experience a host of hedonistic flavours at the Navarro Correas wine tasting. Try the vineyard’s highly rated Malbec Alegoria and Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by a platter of carefully selected cheeses. Enjoy the layered palate, under the guidance of the head winemaker.
Don’t miss out on one of Bodega Navarro Correas’ most popular drinks, its sparkling white wine. Featuring peach and apple aftertastes, this fruity brut is the perfect drink for a summer afternoon. Purchase a bottle, along with a selection of reds and whites, from the winery store.
Bodega Navarro Correas is located in southeast Mendoza and is accessible by car or bus. Wine tasting tours are free and can be booked through their website or by phone. Discover other wines of the region at the family-owned winery, Bodega Catena Zapata.
