Best location for Northern area exploration; very friendly staff; good on-site restaurant; knows extremely well what tourists need in the area; aurora wake-up service etc. building & equipments a little outdated, but no complaints, they’re fully reflected in price.

This propery is right on the lake and across the street from the pseodocraters. Su h a nice walk even in the brisk air. The restaurant in the hotels serves a delicious dinner and dessert. There breakfast spread was enormous and the food was delicious.

Theproperty was across the road for Lake Myvtan and beautiful! Staff was helpful, food was good. Laundry service fast and affordable.

We were snowed in during our stay and the hotel staff was great and kept us updated on when the roads would reopen. The food is excellent also

Rude waitress and she messed up dinner order. Did not return to restaurant. Other than the waffles the breakfast was poor and couldn't eat.

No lox’s for breakfast ☹️ other restaurants had lox’s. Being a fishing town you would think they would have that.

Receptionists are very friendly. We arrived early before the allowed check in time however, they accommodated our request. Room was very spacious. It was warm however during the course of the night it really got so warm. Overall it was great! One thing, the dinner buffet was pricey for the selection of food.just saying!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here compared to other places in the area. Sel Hotel was right across the street from a nice trail to walk along the lake and see some craters, as well as sheep! Our roomwas nice, breakfast was ok, dinner was quite good!

Great restaurant with breakfast included. Staff was very friendly and room was spacious. Had a good view over looking the pseudo craters across the street.

The hotel and the staff were fabulous! They woke us up (as requested) to see the Northern Lights. Dinner in the dining room was the best we had in Iceland.

Place was very nice, staff was excellent. They called us out to see the northern lights, because very unusual given the time of year in early September. Enjoy playing darts, watching sports on TV in addition to see if anything phenomenon.

This is the best hotel we stayed in iceland. From our window, we can see the lake. Hotel is clean and has great food. All the staff are very nice and helpful. We also did the laundry service at hotel and drop clothes off at night and it’s ready to go in the morning. Highly recommended .

Nice place to stay in Myvatn
Nice view of the cinder cones of Myvatn. Lots of power outlets for your electronics. Pool table and darts, a bar and a restaurant. Really nice place to stay.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. On site hot tub, sauna, and brewery. Also, the restaurant was one of the best meals I had in Iceland. Strongly recommend this place l.

We got to the area at 1pm and was able to check in early. Had triple room booked and got a very large room! The front desk staff (a young guy) was very friendly. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Great location to see midnight sunset.

The best hotel we had out of 7
We stayed 7 nights in Iceland in 7 hotels, this was the best out of all of them, also one of the most affordable ones, much more expensive ones could not compare to this. Very nice room, spacious and clean, very well insulated. All the staff, ALL OF THEM, were so very polite and helpful, congrats to whoever is running the place. 10 out of 10

Great place to stay at with a local brewery!
Good size room, food available nearby, restaurant has great-quality food. There is an ice-cream shop nearby with 3 bunnies living in the back yard.

Great hotel close to day trips we wanted to do and along the ring road we were traveling. 80's style interior. Kept up well. Our room was very large and comfortable but poor view. Others are smaller with better views.
