To a traveler such as me, never having been to a particular location, I would often, as in this case, contact the hotel myself to arrange the advertized airport pickup. Expedia does not offer this contact info so I had to search myself for it online.
This hotel's web site is not so very good, and I tried twice via email to contact them regarding pickup at the airport.
You guessed it, they never responded. Too difficult to respond, or indifferent.
I am offended in this electronic day and age when a company cannot hire someone competent enough to reply by the clicks of a few keys. The techie nerds that designed how emails work made it as simple as possible. The is no excuse for not replying. The same techie nerds invented google translate, just in case there is a language barrier.. It too can be operated by anyone that knows which way their underwear goes on.
I thought I was booking a full service hotel.
Sure, I took a cab, but had I known that I would have saved much time and anticipation by not trying to contact them.
If you too would like the peace of mind of landing at a strange airport knowing there is a ride awaiting you, then book another hotel.
Plenty of them to choose from. That is why the good ones will go the extra mile for the customer. Unfortunately one does not find this out until after the fact.
