As a family of 4 traveling, we found the room perfect to accommodate all of us. The staff member who checked us in and out was lovely - friendly and helpful. We did not include breakfast with our stay, but changed our minds the next morning and she was incredibly kind and pleasant about accommodating our last minute change. The location of the hotel was perfect - overlooking the lake and with many dining options nearby as well as transportation stops close by. The walk to/from the train station was super quick as well. We had a very nice stay and would definitely return!

Very convenient location - easy walk from the train station. Lots of shops and restaurants, just know that on Sundays many of the shops and restaurants are closed. The walk along Lake Geneva is beautiful. Easy to get to The Queen Museum (not that big, but interesting) and Freddie Mercury's statue.

Montreux budget stay.
Rooms are sizable, plsinly furnished, but have all the facilities you need. We had a nice outdoor bslcony with seats and table, and view of the lake, and mountains beyond. The TV had all the British main channels. Rather good breakfast for the price, though no hot food (apart from porridge). Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

Check-in system on-line cumbersome and ultimately non-functional. Had to completely redo at hotel even though completed prior. Breakfast denied day two though paid for (ultimately refunded). Late checkout awarded at front desk but keys not updated so locked out of room. Hotel safe and comfortable but front desk service inadequate.

Indeed, what customers may not necessarily realize is that during group reservations, each individual must provide their complete and signed ID information. By law, we are not allowed to sign on behalf of a third party. Therefore, we had to finalize your check-in process upon your arrival, which is not a problem for us.We understand that the new system can be very efficient, but it may not be suitable for everyone.

Overall, I won't suggest this hotel. The mirror fell on the ground when we were in the room. The restroom door couldn't be closed properly and wouldn't be able to lock the door. Housekeeping only placed the duvet covers and there were no duvet inside.

Great location
We picked this hotel because of the location across the street from the waterfront. It’s an older hotel with a very small and Un inviting lobby and small elevator. Room was clean and very basic. No frills hotel in a good location and friendly staff.

The air conditioner didn’t work. The lady at the front desk got us another one and it was the same. Most of the time the room was in the 90s and it was more comfortable sitting outside along the lake!

Hotel was okay, however I felt it was very overpriced for what it is. My room was labeled as a “lake view room”, and whilst the room window faces the lake, there are large trees directly in front of the hotel that obscure the lake view. I saw a couple of blue streaks among the trees but it was mostly a tree view. I would definitely not call this a lake view room. Surrounding area is very noisy and could hear a lot of outside noise coming into the room. The Air conditioning worked well which was good. Room would be better if it had a fridge to keep drinks cold.

This was one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed in. Rude staff, when there was actually anyone there. No air conditioning. They supposedly had just not installed them for the summer. It was unbearably hot. We had a "courtyard " view but it was of the ugly roof of a building below. I advise to choose another hotel. Very low quality room.

We thank you for your return but we must intervene on 2 points. You have actually booked a courtyard view and not a lake view. Being full that day, we were unable to change your room to a lake view (the photos are very explicit, however). Concerning the PORTABLE air conditioners, for your safety each year, they must undergo a control, the big heat having arrived faster than expected they were not yet installed in all the rooms during your visit, following your request we sent 2 times the technician that you refused, from then on he was installed at 8 p.m. during your dinner.

Hotel overlooks Lake Geneva. That is the only good thing. Old and not well maintained. Outside surfaces need painting and repairing badly. No facial tissues in room. Toilet seat/lid does not stay up because of misalignment. Not enough electrical outlets.

Great Place
This place is in a great location with beautiful views. The staff did an amazing job checking us in quickly. The hotel is definitely older but they have done a pretty good job renovating and making it cute and quaint. It was the most comfortable bed of our entire trip.

Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was good size and comfortable. Private bathroom was quite small but useable. Floor in bedroom was quite dusty, but otherwise all important areas (bed, bathroom etc) were clean. We stayed one night. Hotel allowed us to do a late check-in (about 23:00), by doing most of the process online in advance and getting a code for the front door, which we appreciated. We didn't take the breakfast option so can't comment on that. Switzerland is expensive, so we were on a budget. Reviews said hotel was older style, which we were fine with, but we weren't quite sure what we would find. Happy to say it suited us fine. Ask the staff for the free tourist pass which gives free travel on buses and the funicular railway to Rochers de Naye (though only as far as Haut-de-Caux - you have to pay to go all the way to Rochers).

We stayed in this property for one night. The hotel was located just across from Lake Geneva promenade, which was wonderful. The promenade was alive with food, retail goods stalls, and music on the Sunday that we checked in. When we arrived at the hotel, front door was hard to open and I thought it was locked and thankfully a guest came in and we were able to get in, but no one was at the front desk, that’s why we couldn’t get in. We had to ring the bell for service. After checking in we dropped our bags and went to the promenade. When we settled back in the hotel room, I noticed discoloration on the ceiling and the wood flooring flank edges were raised and chipping, a sign of water damaged. The more I looked at the ceiling it turned out it was a terrible job of patching with a plaster putty. It looked like it was trying to fix a water leak. We were ok with it if it has been fixed. At 7 am, my husband and I heard light tapping that we thought may be a bird or a water dripping from the outside since we opened the window overnight, lo and behold, it was water dripping from the patched area on the ceiling. Thankfully our opened luggage was a few inches from the drippings and nothing got wet, and since we were checking out, we didn’t make a big deal about it. We told the front desk about it when we checked out an she was shocked. Hotel management should fix this by replacing the pipe, wall, and flooring before renting out. Very disappointed to end our stay with this.

A display stand, boldly written "call reception" is just behind the door. We are a small hotel from 1860 in a protected building and without stars, so yes it happens emergency repair. A low-key gem
It is a lovely, gentle place. Certainly not 5 star, our room was large, slightly out of its time, but comfortable, warm and all that was needed. A very good continental breakfast (no meat) .Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady at reception who tolerated our fractured French with a smile. Close to the lake and close to the station (use the public lift by Jacob's Ladder), and all the shops and restaurants you need. We certainly hope to return.

Great place to stay! Super convenient for travel, only a 5 minute walk from the train. Right on the lake - it is definitely worth it to pay a little more for the lake view room where you will have a private terrace and amazing view of the Alps and Lake Geneva! Surrounded by restaurants and shops and also directly across the boat tour station! Very easy check in and out process. Make sure you take the local attractions and travel discount upon check in - it is free! But it not yet clear that it is free! Rooms are spacious and nice, but could use more hangers in the closet. Nice bathrooms with great shower. Would 10/10 recommend

Access was a nightmare: no parking on site and very glad I was not a wheelchair user. The breakfast was a disgrace: not only did other guests help themselves to our breadbasket but everything was plastic-wrapped, from a machine or totally impersonal. The receptionist did as much as she could to assist but I would never stay here again.

The property is perfectly located in the heart of Montreux and easily walkable from the train station. Everything was well looked after, the check in and check out was simple. The hotel offered a tourist pass for free local transportation which was excellent and we used it to visit Vevey.

Small room, perfect view
It was a small single room but had a balcony with two seats and a fantastic view of the lake. It was great to sit outside with a beer and watch the sun setting. The bathroom was also very small but had a great shower. The plugs don’t take standard adapters but the excellent receptionist has plugs that do fit.

We like the location, near the lake boulevard. The beds were not comfort, one of them was a bunk bed and the air condition, very noisy, was right besides it. The window view was depressing. Reception very limited in service and with a poor attention.
