I liked the cleanliness, the service not that good, apparently I couldn’t get my room cleaned because I didn’t ask in the morning when no one let me know of that, and there were no trash bags in the trash cans. Asked for those was told I would receive them and I still did not.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the delay in cleaning your room. We do advise all guests to determine whether or not they require housekeeping the night before. Additionally, during the check-out process, we inquire about the guest's well-being and offer our guidance. Everything is fine. Our hotel does not provide plastic bags because no plastic items are utilized. Our hotel contributes to global environmental preservation by abstaining from plastic usage.

It was our first time staying in Monterey and it was the best choice of hotel. Everything was near by and still it was quiet. Will stay again for sure.

The staff weren’t friendly, not rude or ignorant, just not very welcoming. The rooms were no more than average, which for the price I expected more. The courtyard was locked up “due to COVID”, but restrictions have been over for a long time. It seemed like a cop out to not deal with maintaining extra space for the guests.

The room smelled so bad like old and musty. I went to the front desk told them and she said sorry. I asked if they had any air fresheners she gave me a bottle I used 3/4 of the bottle. The room still stinks. They I received a call from the front desk to return the bottle of air freshener. The heater was going off and on. The knob did not work to turn it off. had to call to see if they could unplug it. She said it would be an hour. I had to open up the windows. I could not get a receipt from the desk for payment. I came her for my son’s engagement. I spent an hour and a half in the room went to dinner. I’m back but I will not be staying in this room the smell is awful. Disappointed!

We liked that it was close to a lot of things and so we could walk a lot of places we wanted to go. The bathroom was fine but the shower left a lot to be desired. They advertised sound proof rooms but they were not. We were able to hear what was on the TV in the other rooms next to us. The place was convenient not comfortable.

Brand new rooms were very nice and comfortable. Check in was smooth. Parking lot is too small. Very difficult navigating in a mini-van. I had to park in a "truck" spot. Also, despite being a suburban area, and the rooms being updated, the road noise was much more than you would expect.

The rooms were clean and spacious. When checking in and out staff were helpful and friendly. Welcoming for families. I have two complaints. One is that the parking spaces are incredibly tight. We have a minivan and barely fit in the spots. Second the shower water pressure is extremely low, even for a water friendly shower head

Manager wasn’t very friendly- didn’t seem to want me to use the EV charger because his car was parked there. Room was large and clean. Motel is right off the road so it’s quite noisy.

Thanks for everything the hotel did for you, Palwinder. Even if the hotel allowed you to check out late, they only gave us a two-star rating and a comment stating that everything was fine. Due to California law, we do not carry any tiny bottles of shampoo besides plastic. Before posting a negative review, please discuss any issues with us.

Very very bare bones hotel room. We did like the spaciousness, but there’s no amenities. A few coffee pods for 2 adults and 3 days and the dumb little pack (singular) of 1 creamer and 2 sugars. The lobby didn’t have any perks either—we were hoping for water to fill our water bottles, but nope. Also, I wanted to take a bath but there was no stopper and when I called the desk they said that the California-something or other declared we are in a drought, so no baths allowed. Uhhh…I live in California in a high fire danger area and we can all take baths! Baths seriously might be more water conserving than a 10 minute shower! But overall, I guess if you just want a nice clean place to sleep, that’s about all you’re going to get.

At check-in, we inform each visitor that if they need anything extra during their stay, they should let us know or ask the housekeeper for additional towels, etc. Yes, California has drought warnings for all hotels, which must adhere to the rules or face city and state fines. The city of Monterey provides water-saving shower devices for all of our restrooms, which are inspected every six months. Sorry for any inconvenience to our hotel staff.
