The hotel is located in beautiful parkland surrounded by meadows and grazing stags & deer - who don't seem to be at all phased by the odd car driving past.
The hotel itself is a majestic manor house which looks extremely impressive.
I stayed for two nights. The first night, the heating in the room was faulty and they were not able to get it to work again until the following day. Luckily I wasn't too cold - but still a little disappointing. The rooms themselves are a little on the small side, but as I was there for business and didn't camp out in the room, it wasn't an issue and at no time did I feel cramped.
I ate in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent - if a bit pricey. If you wnat to eat anywhere else, it's a drive into Fredericia, but since I didn't know where anything was, the easier option was staying in.
The facilities are comfortable and the bar was nice and cozy. The staff are very friendly and overall, I had a good stay.
The rating does not reflect the heating issue.
