The room needed some updating, but the bed was comfortable. The carpeting in our room was not clean upon arrival. The breakfast had one hot option, besides the waffle maker. The staff was friendly and responded to our needs immediately. I did not like the text messaging service, because it took 2 days to get a response. We had notified the front desk after waiting 2 hours to have a battery placed in our smoke detector, and she responded immediately with a new battery. We had someone show up 2 days later with a battery. This was a safety issue in the event of a fire. The door was difficult to open and had to be shoved open with my hip. The shelf in the bathroom was sagging, and my husband showed the man who brought the battery. He said he would fix it after we checked out. This was day 2 of our 5-day stay. We chose this hotel because we always have had a good experience, but we both were disappointed.
