I've been a frequent guest at the Plymouth during my trips to Miami, enticed by its ideal location—just a stroll away from all the attractions of South Miami. However, my latest stay left something to be desired. Construction next door caught us by surprise with no prior notice. The customary welcome drinks were missing, and the room's cleanliness fell short of expectations. Our bed sported black marks and scuffs, the floor exhibited visible cracks, and the bathroom layout felt unconventional, with the sink oddly placed beside the bed, a departure from the full bathroom setups we're used to. If you decide on staying here, I'd suggest booking a king room or a suite; they tend to offer better value.
On a positive note, this year's beach service was markedly improved; we were promptly offered sample smoothies and towels upon arrival, a vast improvement from last year's hour-long wait for towels. It seems experiences can vary. Despite these inconsistencies, the convenience of the location and the hospitable staff make the Plymouth a decent choice overall
