This property is old, feels old, but interesting for the Art Deco style from the 40s.
The rooms are spacious, but you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways. A couple of times I woke up when the neighbors went into their room, it sounded like they were coming into mine. There were also some revelers that came in around 2am that added to the noise.
Our bed was very hard and on metal frames which didn't give much.
The TV in our room didn't work (not that we watch much TV anyway).
The staff is friendly and try to help, but most don't speak English or English is not necessarily their primary language (this is not a problem, just an observation. have translation apps available).
The area around this hotel is very expensive as far as food is concerned, and has a very large and eclectic selection within walking distance.
The elevator is quaint and has fun charm, but takes a bit to get used to.
The best part of this hotel is the beach being right across the street. This makes this a great location if you love the beach. Our windows didn't look out on the beach and that would have been nice, but not a ding on the property.
