Overall pretty good. Nice hotel, very modern and comfortable. Staff were very nice and welcoming. Great location with Bourke street close by and lots of food options and coffee bars. Would recommend.

This is the second time we stayed here. Loved its location, within 3-5 mins walk to the Elizabeth Street tram stop and Melbourne Central station, shopping area and plenty of restaurants. Perfect in every way.

The hotel was great. Super nice and clean. I would say that it’s not very obvious for patrons of the Ibis to know where to go. There was no one at the ground floor to direct people and I feel like if you had a language barrier, you may not know where to go. The reception is on the second floor. They have an express check in that was very convenient and easy. There are people at reception if you need them. I did have ti ask where breakfast was as again, it isn’t obvious and they have 3 floors with different restaurants. It is pretty easy to get to the hotel via transit once you figure it out. I took an express bus from the airport and then took the train. From Melbourne central, it is an easy 10min walk max. Despite it being in a small street that looks almost like an alley, I felt pretty safe at night as a solo female traveller although I would just be cautions since getting to the main road you have to pass by small alleyways but there was always people around so it didn’t bother me. I found the tram and bus situation a bit complicated, but all of that is very close to the hotel. The room was nice and small, but had a distinct smell. I got a queen compact room, but I could see how there may not be enough room for two people or if you are a tall or bigger person, the shower is very tight. The sink is located in the room so not much space and only one drawer for clothing.

Small very clean room perfectly adequate for one person a week. Not suitable for two. TV could do with being higher as cut myself on the edge a couple of time. Lack of drawers or shelves was not an issue for me but the inbuilt safe was a plus. I prepaid for breakfast and it was excellent value. Staff were all very helpful. Small cafe attached was not part of the hotel and closed early

Being from the country regions i was confused how to check in and with 2 accommodations, Ibis and Novotel in one building?? No one at check in desk. Lucky, A concierge person helped me by telling me to go to level 2 to check in and no person was there for the Ibis. Had to check in like at the airport. Confusing at first for sure. Otherwise, great stay and convenient to go to Pink concert. Lovely inside and the pillows were soooo comfortable. Weird style bathroom if you have the blinds open at room window, no privacy. Different. Thank you

The receptionist was incredibly rude. I tried to check in online at the hotel but encountered a problem and wanted a quick question answered and went to seek help at reception. I was told I had to check in online in the other area, which I had tried to do, as the receptionist only dealt with people staying at the Novotel section of the hotel. I tried to explain the problem I’d encountered; however, I was blanked and dismissed. The receptionist also treated the person ahead of me in the same way. Are Ibis guests considered and treated as second-class citizens by the wider hotel group? If not, I suggest the receptionist, and I have her name if the hotel cares enough to contact me, needs serious support and retraining to understand the importance of customer service and care in the hospitality industry. She is the front person of the Ibis and Novotel brands in Melbourne and this should be a concern to the group. One of her colleagues saw how I had been treated and tried to apologise. I really felt for this person’s embarrassment.

Amazing. perfect for a solo traveller. clean comfy bed. close to everything. I have never ever seen such amazing staff before. The second i walked in The door boy was so happy and kind. Checking my the manager her was spot on and so beyond helpful and leaving the lady asked how my stay was and if i needed an any tbh big .
