Schoene Location aber unangemessene Zusatzkosten
Pro: Das Hotel hat eine sehr schoene Lage, direkt am Elberadweg. Der Garten mit Blick auf die Albrechtsburg ist schoen angelegt, Wifi ist im ganzen Gelaende excellent. Hotel und Zimmer sehr sauber. Preislich, vergleichbar mit allen anderen Hotels in der Gegend. Cons: Das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis stimmt sehr schnell NICHT mehr, wenn man Fruestueck und Parkgebuehren dazu bucht. Vor allem das Fruehstueck ist sehr ueberteuert, und waehrend es auf Hotels.com mit 26Euro fuer 2 Personen gelistet ist (allerdings nicht buchbar online), hat uns das Hotel 22 Euro Pro Person und Fruehstueck angerechnet. Das Fruehstueck ist definitiv nicht 22 Euro wert. Der Parkplatz (14 Euro/Nacht) oder Tiefgarage (25 Euro/Nacht) sind komplett unangemessen. Die Badezimmer beduerfen einer Renovierung, und vor allem die Duschvorrichtung koennte eine Update gebrauchen. Leider sind durch die sehr teuren Zusatzkosten die Preis-Leistungs Verhaeltnisse nicht mehr empfehlenswert und haben bei uns das anfangs positive Gesamtbild verschoben, so das wir uns nicht sicher sind nochmals dieses Hotel zu buchen.

Spa with a view
Very nice hotel, with beautiful view. Spa was very nice, with 3 different saunas, spa with beautiful view to Albrechtsburg. Highly recommended.

Overpriced hotel
Booked a room with one double bed but what i received was 2 beds moved close to eachother. Hotel restaurant only has few dinner choices and was closed every Sunday. Tablet to order room service or call reception also broken, had to go to reception to order room service when restaurant was full and only choice was to eat in the room. Overall for the price i paid per night not worth it.

No room cleaning.
First the positives: nice room, good pillows and comfortable bed, location dubious and a bit run down, view from the window was on a back street. Uncovered parking was in a rather derelict place but close to the hotel. They wanted €10 per day for that but offered no security on the premises except a bar gate for the cars entering or leaving which was a bit of a joke as I had to ring the hotel to get them to open the bar gate as no one answered the call system. Negatives: One big one, on the second day the room was not made up, and, therefore there were no clean towels etc. The receptionist at the time blamed it on Covid-19. However, my neighbour had her room made up. When I complained in the morning, the new receptionist seemed rather taken aback and waived the parking fee - it was a farce really - so overall pretty disappointing.

superb stay
Great place! Quiet, comfortable, yet a few minutes walk away from the old town. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really good and varied. The views on the Elbe river are wonderful, although not all the room options have a view on the river.

Nice hotel - very friendly staff
Our stay at the Dorint Hotel was great. The staff was super friendly at check-in and breakfast. They even gave us a teddy bear for my little daughter. We also had a baby bed in the room, which was a really nice one rather than one of the fold away travel ones - much more comfortable for my daughter. The view from the hotel is also amazing.

Fresh, clean and pleasant!
A very clean and freshly appointed hotel with friendly staff and a good breakfast selection come the morning. The hotel is not in the "old" town, although the town center is only a short walk across the bridge, and the view of the Elbe more than compensates. One small fly in the ointment is that they charge a ( small ) fee to use the health club facilities, which seemed to me a little penny pinching and unnecessary. Overall though, a very pleasant place to stay and I certainly recommend it.

This hotel was beautiful and clean, it was more than expected.We could not find any suitable restaurant in Meißen,so we decided to have dinner at hotel. And it was surprisingly tasty French, we are very satisfied staying there.

The elegant Park Hotel
A wonderful location and beautiful view Mattresses uncomfortable, could use updating. A beautiful restaurant seldom opened( not at all during our stay) A very overpriced breakfast Buffett. A very helpful and personable food snd beverage manager. Out to please. Definitely could have sprung for larger tv, stayed at less elegant hotels with big screen TV'.

A Relaxed Day in Meissen
A beautiful hotel just across the river from the old city, within walking distance to main attractions. Excellent buffet breakfast. We loved the garden gently sloping towards the river, with plenty of chairs to sit on and enjoy the view.

A nice hotel in Meissen
Beautiful view in Meissen. Close to Dresden. The room was a little dated. Public spaces are modern and stylish. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great view and food
I really like this hotel and have stayed 4 times now. It's been recently renovated, but I still had problems with the air conditioning not working (seems like little things like that happen every time.) But the restaurant is great (outstanding breakfast, fancy dinners at very reasonable prices). The view of the Albrechtsburg castel across the river is simply terrific. Parking and internet were free. Great place to stay for a vacation.

Beautiful but some rooms are in a separate buildin
The hotel is really beautiful and in a great location overlooking the castle. The restaurant is impressive. However, the pictures just show one part of the hotel, as many rooms are actually located in a separate building on the back, with no views. I would still recommend it, although you should know what to expect.

Good Getaway
The hotel itself is in a good location in Meissen, within walking distances of the Christmas markets and some sites. It is also in a good location to visit both Dresden and Leipzig. Service was friendly and the hotel was good. I recommend it for anyone whether a business trip or get away like mine.

Can't wait until construction is done
I like this hotel a lot and have stayed there several times. The view of the Albrechtsburg across the Elbe River is simply stunning. Breakfast and dinner in the dining room are wonderful. The rooms are quite nice and reasonably roomy. But the ongoing construction certainly takes away from the experience. It should be done in late 2014 and then this will be a great hotel.

Pleasant hotel near river and town
Nice walk from hotel to interesting town. Dinner with a beautiful view over river and towars town. Food good and interesting. Bedrooms a little dated and needs better lighting.

Very professional staff spoiled us at every turn. Rooms were spacious and cleanly, but a bit dated (no flat screen TV). On-going construction did cause a lot of noise, concrete dust, and longer walks through buildings and up/down stairs to get to our room.

Great view of the Old Town
The staff was not very friendly. The free Wi-Fi the hotel advertised doesn't work most of the time. Apparently they expect the guest to upgrade to a more expensive room to have stable Wi-Fi service. The hair dryer only work for about 1 minute and cut out.

Beautiful property, convenient to Dresden
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent trip through Germany and Czech Republic. We wanted to visit Dresden, but preferred staying in a smaller town. The Welcome Parkhotel is located on the banks of the Elbe River in Meissen, which is about 30 min from Dresden by car. Meissen is a beautiful, classically German town with a castle on a hilltop and cobblestone streets lined with historic buildings. Welcome Parkhotel offers on-site parking and has a decent restaurant, especially the buffet-style breakfast with delicious German delicacies. Dinner choices included authentic regional food and local wines; our only quibble was that service was slow (but maybe that's just the local culture). The room was very comfortably appointed. One note - to get from reception to many of the rooms, you must take an elevator down to the lowest level, cross over to a different building through a passageway under construction, and then up another elevator, which might be an issue for guests with mobility limitations. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience!
