Fabulous - will visit again
Our stay at the Oberoi was amazing in every aspect. The room was incredible. Service was the best of any hotel I’ve ever visited. In particular, Jeremy on the beach was a legend. Fantastic water sport options. The snorkelling was some of the best we’ve ever done anywhere. Best of all, the food was divine, including outstanding local options.

If you want a quiet garden paradise this is the spot! Amazing staff, beautiful views, top quality food, all within an exceptionally well curated garden. The Oberoi really made our honeymoon something special. Well worth the long plane ride there from the states!

Excellent service, staff were so incredibly friendly. The hotel itself is extremely well maintained and beautiful scenery. It was excellent to have all water sports included at no charge. The food at this hotel is of a very very high standard with great variety.

The property was very good and the hospitality was excellent. Only suggestion was to add a night light to the rooms and to take extra care and maintenance of the rooms because of the greenery around

The villas are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff is amazing. We have stayed at many iconic resorts throughout the world and this one stands apart. The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Memorable 5 star Honeymoon
Our honeymoon at the Oberoi was truly a memorable experience. For us the attention to detail really stood out, and made our honeymoon more special. The cuisine was divine and very different, optional water sports were a lot of fun, and the daily program of various activities were an interesting surprise, we particularly enjoyed the nature walk, wine tasting and cooking class. The staff were friendly and always went out of their way to make us feel at home. I honestly cannot describe how enjoyable the Oberoi really was, but definitely recommend it especially if you looking for a quiet relaxing and most importantly romantic getaway.

Top quality hotel, 5 star in every way.
Very enjoyable stay, staff were very attentive, food superb. Very hard to fault. Clearly the cost is not inconsiderable but well worth it. Taking a swin at 6:45am and enjoying some early morning sun prior to work was an experience that will stay with me.

Near perfection. Beautiful and perfectly maintained, great free activities like snorkeling, water ski. yoga, etc. Gorgeous rooms with netflix and nice TV channel list, super gorgeous beach, pools, gym, spa, restaurants...Very high food standard, great chefs. Staff very attentive and courteous (aside from one dinner out of 6, with poor service, but otherwise perfect). Overall, one of the best hotels we have ever been to anywhere.

Great hotel with luxury accommodations
Amazing hotel with great service and food. All the staff were very welcoming and knew our names after 1 day. Beach was clean and well maintained. Food was excellent and provided special dinners on different days of the week and the main dining room also offered a great variety of entrees. We booked a full day tour through the hotel which brought us around the island and it was great.

This property and grounds are beautiful. The service and responsiveness of staff are beyond expectation. It was a wonderful stay. My only dis-comfort were the flies in the dining room. But, I’d still opt for the opening air dining experience!

Classic Oberoi Hotel Experience
My wife and I spent two nights at the Oberoi after 17 days on the Crystal Symphony. We didn't think that anything could be better than the 6 star cruise ship, but we were wrong. Oberoi outdid them!

Great chill out
The Oberoi is a beautiful property with very attentive staff. We stayed 14 nights & I believe the average is 5.I had no idea Turtle bay was so remote when the booking was made & as a result we found ourselves often in taxis usually destined for Grand Bay where we had some great Chinese dinners in a little back lane place recommended by Darmon, Oberoi chef. It was "100% local" accordingly to our taxi driver.Be prepared for an $80 return taxi fare. I cant take anything away from this property which probably works better for the average stay of 5 nights. I was surprised at the number of honeymooners there who expressed concern at food & beverage prices within the hotel. These prices are high even by expensive Sydney standards, but looking at the whole package relating to quality & a " fantastic feel" I think the Oberoi offers value in its class. My wife & I tend not to cover as much ground as many travelers but have longer stays. We hope to return to Mauritius for another 2 week stint in a year or 2 following on from African safaris. We will look for quality as near as possible to the Oberoi but in Grand Bay. We enjoyed 2 full day island tours with "Destination Soleil" & their exceptional guide ,Sailen
