Perfect place to stay, from staff friendliness honestly everyone greets you with a smile & a greeting if’s truly amazing. It’s the best breakfast Buffett and it’s right in the mall so your shopping couldn’t be more convenient.The rooms are spacious and quiet I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay we’ll definitely be back

The check in was fast and friendly. The employees are so helpful. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The sound proof room was great for sleeping. The air conditioning worked great. Shopping and restaurants next door. Wonderful place to stay when visiting Makati.

Overall it’s a great place to stay, the only thing is my niece got bitten by bed bugs that resulted to swollen eyelids and some on her forehead and on her ear lobes. The rest are good.

Christmas family trip to Manila
As a family trip, we booked 3 rooms at Ascott Makati. None of the 3 rooms we booked with Hotels.com was what he had booked. Our 2 deluxe studios with kitchenette and washing machine were just bedrooms and our executive studio came with a shower only when it said in the description it had a shower tub combination. This was all very frustrating after arriving late at night flying from London. The next day, they managed to upgrade our executive studio to a one bedroom unit, but our other 2 rooms remained just bedrooms not studios due to very high occupancy. I am not sure if this was the fault of hotels.com or the hotel itself. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and proximity to shopping mall was brilliant, just a couple of steps outside and we were in the mall which was great! Overall we enjoyed staying at Ascott Makati.

Latest 2023 Experience
Location is its main selling point, right next to Glorietta and within walking distance of any place in Makati. The condition of the room has worsen a bit compared to what it was when I stayed in 2017/18. The shower door does not close properly, the toilet in the first floor has a broken seat, and no soap at all! Nevertheless, the room was quiet, the internet was good even with video calls and the restaurant though limited had relatively good food.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The mall on the ground floor provides some decent places to eat and shop. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. If I had to nitpick, I just wish that the rooms would be "aired" before new guests arrive, the room smelled stale when we came in.

The property is within the mall. Easy access to shopping and food . I wish they were a little more flexible with late checkout as our flight was delayed. We waited at the hotel lobby while waiting to go to the airport since we checked out at 12 noon and flight. Was 10 pm. A very long wait .

1. Room furnishings are very old and need repair or replacement - I requested my very wobbly room desk to be replaced but never got one that worked 2. Hotel severely lacks towels and linens - housekeeping replied in one instance that they ran out of towels - a "5-star" hotel running of of towels??? 3. Courteous and hard-working staff (my only positive comment) 4. The Ascott property (used to be Oakwood) is in dire need of big-time renovation and refurbishment; Expedia needs to review the property's condition and re-categorize to a 3-star at the current state

Overall as I have a travell extensively all over the world one of the worst value for the money. Breakfast was average at best tv was very hard to operate and did not work very well. Safe deposit box when haywire and needed new battery to open could not call down to the desk kept getting ring but no answer. Not easy. Towards the end. The door lock flange fell off

Very clean and high end property. We stayed at 2 bedrooms apartment which has kitchen and laundry so it was convenient, malls are next door so you have a lot of options for shopping,food, coffee…. Definitely will recommend and will stay here again.
