Check in was quite smooth. We were allowed to bring the car right to the front door. Check out we were given an extra 30 mins since we were scuba diving that morning with Calypso dives.

We stayed for 2 nights during which time the room wasn't cleaned, although they disputed this!!!! Otherwise a very good location with plenty of bars and restaurants.

Lovely hotel in an excellent position overlooking the harbour and bay, all the staff were super friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect and the food was delicious thank you

Very good location. Polite staff. Beds uncomfortable. Rooms starting to look a little shabby especially bathroom. Towels rough. Very poor lighting in bedroom especially over dressing table/desk for us ladies although pleased to see there was at least something with a mirrow and easy accessible sockets!

Lovely hotel in many ways but could be better
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Calypso. The location right next to the sea and our diving centre was perfect for us. The room was really comfortable and quiet and we slept very well. We enjoyed the pool and bar on the roof and all the staff were really helpful and friendly. The only things that let it down slightly for us were the shower (not very powerful at all) and the breakfast. The breakfast offered plenty of variety and choice but just lacked a bit of quality (e.g fruit juices weren’t fresh but tasted like concentrate, scrambled egg not fresh) Would stay here again but it wouldn’t take much to make the shower and breakfast better which would greatly improve the hotel for us personally.

A stress-free Christmas break
All in all it was a relaxing & quiet short break. We had half board, because we had eaten at the restaurant before. The dinner didn't disappoint, in particular the Xmas eve menu: superb!! The set menu was equally good & so was breakfast. Compliments to the chef & his crew. Although the room was comfortable, we found it rather dimly-lit. There was only ONE electrical power point, so to charge the phone, I had to remove the plug for the kettle! The shower knob was stuck, so I had baths instead. The reception offered to change the room, which was nice. Nevertheless, it's a good place for short breaks & meals at the La Perla Restaurant

On the whole a convenient stay
A convenient hotel in marsalforn, very clean and practical. Renovation in bathroom is much needed although everything worked well. Staff are foreigners who are were very friendly but struggle when coming to understand at least basic english.

My experience in calipso
The staff was excellent but the receptionist from nadur was realy unexperienced on her work. But the rest was O.K it was the 3rd time visit ti this hotel

close to Marsalforn Bay
The hotel is right across the bay which is good as the pool is nothing close to the picture and very busy due to covid-19 restrictions. I would suggest paying a little extra for bayview if one wishes to make good use of the balcony.

The management did not inform us that road works were taking place, therefore we could not enter comfortably in the hotel with a stroller. Inside smell of drainage and bed not comfortable at all. Staff were helpful.

I liked the location of the hotel, the breakfast and the room. What I didn't like was the quality of the water in the room and even in the tea during breakfast. I don't think that the water was treated enough for drinking.

Wonderful location, balcony overlooking village and harbour/beach. Right amongst all the restaurant s/bars, but not too noisy. Church bells amusing tunes. Helpful friendly staff, delightful breakfast especially the omelettes. No on-site parking, but free all day parking short walk away. Drop bags off then park car. Airconditioning and overhead fan a bit inadequate but not intolerable. Worth a repeat visit

The location of the property was excellent as was the room. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the breakfast setting as well as the rooftop restaurant. The only problem was the balcony. It overlooked the street and empty lot. Would have been better if there were none at all.

The hotel was clean and tidy however the room comfort was very poor. The beds were Rock hard... Breakfast could be improved... Overall not 4 star but 3 star...

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Beach across the road,Plenty to watch with boats coming and going local fishermen with their catches. Lovely roof terrace with great views.

Great location, very family friendly, clean and good quality breakfast. Enjoyed the top floor pool and terrace. Very spacious rooms. Pity that electronic key cards kept playing up causing a slight inconvenience. Will definitely return.
