This hotel has a fantastic location. The staff are brilliant.
Physically, it's a bit run down, but still very clean.
We would have liked a room with a balcony, but didn't get one - we didn't specify this at booking time or ask to change during our stay, which may have been an option as many of the rooms do have balconies. This means that we made more use of the downstairs seating area / bar, where we were under no pressure to buy anything - although we did frequently. So we were able to sit there in the shade during the hottest parts of the day or late in the evening before bed and watch the world go by. A very well placed, relaxing area to sit.
The room had no fridge - which would have been helpful to store water. There was no kettle, but one was provided when we asked.
These may sound like complaints, but really they're only minor observations, this is not a 4 star hotel, so you should manage your expectations accordingly.
We opted for breakfast each day, and it was just what we needed to get started. A good range on offer.
