No Sun at this hotel, but a very smelly room.
Firstly, if you are planning to go to this hotel for some sun, it's probably not a great idea. The poor design means the swimming pools all sit to the North of the hotel which ensures they are kept in shade all day. Just in case there is an opportunity as the sun moves through the sky, some strategically placed Palm Trees ensure there is still no sun. Secondly, our room stunk. I mean it stunk. We complained about it and they sent a maid and a handyman who together poured an industrial amount of chemicals down each plughole and hoped for the best. It alleviated the problem for an hour or so, but then the staus quo was resumed. Further complaints to reception meant that we could downgrade to an inferior room but with no partial refund, or we could put up with it. As we were only staying for 3 nights, and we were now on day 2, not to mention that we'd un-packed already, we decided against the move and instead did what we could to stay out of the room. Reception tried to blame the rain that we had seen on Day 2 - but the stink started long before this. We ended up spending a whole day on the nearby beach as it's the only place that get's the sun. Of course we had to pay for the privilege and we had to travel back across the beach, and back up into the hotel every time we wanted a drink - not ideal! The experience of a 'Superior Room with views' was really disappointing. I'm normally very positive, but this left a bitter taste.

The location was nice, the hotel could use some updates. Our fridge wasn't working and the A/C smelled moldy. They had decent food and very good entertainment program. Unfortunately loud music on till midnight so it was loud.

Nice location. Nice room but very noisy above the restaurant and next to the entertainment bar. Not enough staff at bars, regular long queues. Evening Entertainment was poor, you couldn’t hear or see it from the entertainment bar. Food was the same every day. Staff was nice

This hotel desperately needs a refurbishment. The reception area is new and modern , the staff are lovely but the “Blocks” housing the rooms are old and dirty . The pool area was disgustingly dirty . Bird mess left for days uncleaned and sun beds falling apart !

This property is set on a nice cove, but not unique. There is NO real walkability to other locations or restaurants. You need a car to stay here and be able to do anything. The buffet is edible but definitely not what I would expect on vacation. It’s a little more cafeteria style. Rooms are clean, but outdated. Staff is very nice and the evening shows were at times entertaining. I would say this is best compare to an on-land cruise ship...if I had to do it over would stay on the north side of the island.

My friend and I booked this resort as it looked fantastic online and we were lured in by the beach that was in close proximity. Upon arrival we were disappointed to find out that it didn't live up to the expectations you'd have from the online photos. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Issues we faced were: 1. The maid left our room door open after cleaning the room one day! 2. Attending the buffet dinner any later than exactly when it opens results in trouble finding a table, getting a waiter's attention to order drinks or even getting cutlery! 3. The bar staff did not know how to make cocktails, which was bizarre as they were advertising a cocktail of the day. At one point we were given what was clearly half a cup of vodka with orange juice splashed on top - not my idea of a good time. 4. None of the staff bar the main reception spoke any level of English and instead of working with you would just reply "no tiendo" or walk away midconversation. This even happened when I tried to pay a dinner drinks bill, which even if you can't communicate with words surely you've seen a bill before! 5. The beach is not private to the hotel, it is a public beach- not a bad thing- just something that should be more clearly called out. Note that if you want to use the sunloungers it's 13.50EUR for the day, cash only. 6. The hotel claims to have an "adults only" pool - they dont. All of the pools are surrounded bY kids.

Moreover, we lament hearing that you found it difficult to get a table in our buffet. We were fully booked during your stay and even having a wide period of time for each meal, in order to avoid ques, there are several moments when our restaurant gets full. In relation to your comment about language problem, we would like to inform you that we always ensure that on every shift we have receptionists able to communicate with all main nationalities, nevertheless we will make sure to share your review with our receptionist manager and maître for improvement. Finally, we would like to explain that all beaches of the Spanish coastline are public and managed by the local municipality, therefore we unfortunately cannot guarantee free sunbeds and parasols for our guests. In addition to this, we want to clarify that we do not have only adults pool because as we are family oriented we want all our families to be able to enjoy together our facilities. Furthermore, we understand that apparently you were not properly informed about your All Inclusive plan upon reservation and would like to take the the opportunity to point out that, room safes, Spa and some drinks are reported to be available against an extra charge; However, we do not charge for towels, this is only a deposit and neither for the luggage room. Food was very bland and/or under/overcooked. I think they should offer fewer options with better quality. I was even less impressed when I had to pay for water with my meal despite paying for hal-board. I would understand paying for alcoholic beverages, but for water? A bit ridiculous. The staff are very pleasant and the resort is kept well. Overall, if you're looking for somewhere to get a nice tan, go for a swim and relax then it's great. A bit annoying to pay the deposit for beach towels and not the best food, but I left feeling happy and relaxed nonetheless.

This hotel is well positioned, easy to get to by bus from Palma. The food was good, varied and plentiful. This is a family hotel, we are a couple (who do not have children) and still found it a nice quiet place for a holiday. The "adults only" hotel across the bay was noisy late into the night. There we plenty of sunbeds, which you had to get to around 8am if you're fussy about position but there were still others available throughout the day. Swimming in the sea, accessed from the edge of the property was a particular highlight. Our only complaints are; we booked a double bed but were given two singles so kept falling down the gap in the middle of the night; and the hotel advertise an adults only pool (one pool out of four, leaving 3 for children) yet this pool was also full of children.

After staying at other Barcelo hotels we were extremely disappointed in this one and moved after one night . Having booked a superior plus room it was basically a room with a bed in . Hotel has lifts but still lots of stairs everywhere you are going Lots of the sun beds do not get the sun All inclusive was certainly not like standards of other hotels and there is very little in the area as an alternative Management staff were helpful when we requested to move hotels

Generally a good experience. The hotel had double booked us on the first night however they found a nearby suitable hotel for the first evening, upgraded us from half board to all inclusive and gave us a beach facing view and complimentary bottle of champagne. The 2 pools were of an average size however you do have direct access to the beach which worked really well.

Lovely hotel at good location
We enjoyed our 4 night stay Private beech pool area and cleanliness and entertainment is admirable They make sure you don't get bored atall every nite they had variety of shows and during day time it was all about several activities It's best holiday with children Magaluf and palmanova beaches are very pretty and close by Aswell The only issue I had was that 90% good container pork so me being strictly no pork eater was left with few choices but they always has fresh fruit to offer so I literally ate vege pizza and fruit through out our stay sometimes fish Aswell There is no way you can't fell in love with staff

Lovely spot. Nice small clean beach and crystal clear water. Sun on the pool all day. Food is typical buffet, ok but not amazing, should be something for everyone however. Great for a short break away and possibly longer if your willing to go to the local attractions.

Was ok, food simple and very similar mostly fish dishes only. Brilliant if you speak Spanish, you get served first at dinner seated first and get cutterly first as well as offered drinks first ow and you get que jump at the bar as well as other privalages such as not paying for drinks which are not included on the all inclusive deal. But hey such is life I guess. But I must say: Gabriel, the H and Paulina - I think that's spelt right (the entertainers) are absolutely fantastic, they made the not so pleasant weather and not so pleasant service from other hotel staff so much more bearable. These 3 need a pay rise for what they do it really would be a loss to the hotel if even one of these got taken by someone else. Brilliant group of people such a laugh. Thanks to these 3 for making my stay feel 5* when I would only rate the hotel a generous 2*

Away from it all to unwind
When we pulled up we thought the hotel was in an amazing location. Sea views were awesome! Check in was very quickly done. The room we should have stayed in was suitable for us. It was better suited to a family as straight outside level with the big window was a smaller pool suitable for children and a play area right by the door. As a middle aged couple we wanted somewhere a bit quieter. Haven't never been in a situation to say anything I was pleasantly surprised hoe accompanying the hotel was. Yes we had to pay a supplement for the room as it was right close to the sea but worth every penny. We got a bottle of bubbly as an apology! The room was a really good size and the shower was excellent loads of hot water no matter time of day. The rooms were kept to a reasonable standard of cleaning although we had ants which was reported and delt with straight away. The restaurant was massive and there was a few dishes to chose from. What I liked that there was loads of different varieties of bread and rolls to choose from. There must have been 12! The times to eat are good too. Breakfast from 7-30am-10.30am Lunch 1-3.30 and dinner 7.30pm-10.30pm. We were only half board but we could either have lunch or dinner which is good if you want to go somewhere but not miss out on any meals. The location is fabulous if you just want to chill out and not do a lot. Magaluf and Palmanova are a 10 min bus ride away and Palma a hour.

The hotel has good rooms, better pools, superb personal an food, with an "almost" private beach There are kitchenettes in the rooms, but we did not use it because the food at the restaurant was unbelievable. Breakfast with at least 5 kinds of cheese, no less than 5 different cold cuts. Ten different pastries, salads, different type of eggs, hot food, yogurt, ice cream, etc, etc. Ah, even Cava !!! (Spanish champagne) I am not going to describe lunch and dinners, but we could not even tried one forth of the dishes and deserts in every dinner. The hotel was built surrounded by the "cala". Street level is 5 floors above the sea (and beach) level, and the open corridors to the rooms are "balconies" in front of the natural stone.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel reception, facilities as well as the dining area are modern. The food is wonderful with a lot of choice from the buffet however does not cater much for vegetarians. Lovely beach with beautiful views and great kids pool. Downside was the lack of cleansiness of room. Although bed and sheets were made the room floor was dusty and not cleaned at all throughout stay. The beds are comfortable surprisingly as it is literally a mattress on a flat base on wheels. Does not have tea/coffee making facilities which should be standard but this is an extra and you would have to hire out. I would not rate the rooms as of 4* quality at all.

Lovely stay but not a fan of Half/Full Board stays. Food is plentiful but tasteless. Its evident that most is frozen or bought in from catering companies. We booked Half Board and from 4th day decided to eat out. Shocking how much food is wasted. Usual sunbed reserved with towels and no one to be seen all day. Hotel Management need to address this. Lots of Russian holiday makers being loud, drunken with no consideration for others. Great location and great hotel staff.

It's a Barcelo hotel, so you pay for quality and service. All was as expected except the check in and the room. The receptionists should greet and welcome the guests to the hotel, I'll got was "Voucher". Not acceptable for a Barcelo. For a hotel that just open the room had holes in the walls and needed paint. Not acceptable for a Barcelo.

My friend and I flew to Majorca (for her 40th birthday treat) with Monarch airlines, who are excellent! Unfortunately we had a VERY STRESSFUL time at airport when we picked up our rental car from GOLDCAR, who charged way above and beyond what we expected on insurance and petrol. Map given with car wasn't good and hotel was hard to find at first and parking was very limited. Hotel reception is lovely, and staff pleasant. We were H/B which worked well for us as we did enjoying checking out other beaches and little towns during the day. Food was really good, but I do think they could offer free tea, coffee and water with evening meal as they don't have it in the rooms. Apart from car hire upset, rest of holiday good!

Peaceful off the main hub, but lovely and relaxing. The small cove is a joy to swim in, cold, but exhilarating! One of the better All Inclusive packs I've had, proper, bottled wine served in glass,not plastic, with meals, real brands of Coca Cola, again in bottles. Food and restaurants staff excellent, hard working team. Entertainment AWFUL. Like being in a 70's time warp, just missing The Birdie Song. Lots of early nights and long scenic walks to avoid the drudge of the "animation team"... only negative though, all else just lovely.

50th Celebration
We had a family celebration, good hotel for group, due to the value for money the Hotel is continually busy, lots of people everywhere all the time and especially during meal times, Sun beds a battle for the prime position this tome of the year (September)food was typical all inclusive mass produced and plentiful would be my only comment, drinks were good and the advantage of all inclusive, lovely little beach and the seas always sheltered. The bay is very popular and totally surrounded by buildings, just round the corner there's lots of more sheltered and less spoilt coves. Not lots going on in the area, no real local bars and restaurants within walking distance,one small beach shack for the football and Rugby, you need to travel to other resorts for a decent night out.

Polite staff, nice location, clean sea very good breakfast with Cava, and in generally food is really excellent, not so big but good enough list of vines. Generally very satisfied

Free WiFi all over but signal was weak or broken signal, single bed was memory foam and good, site of room - we were in block 3 which was very good sea view and also got no sun in morning but on balcony late afternoon and fairly / very quiet, weather at end of may was perfect for me i.e low 20s and mainly sunny, sandy beach distance was only 30 seconds from hotel and small but sand with sun loungers if you want to pay more, time /cost/ distance cab from airport was 45 euro took about 25 mins, price of hotel was reasonable and we were half board, most people are full board or all inclusive. All staff were mixed, food was the standard good Spanish buffet but very repetitive, seating is available outside which is nice with views, etc. Evening entertainment was fair or awful, bathroom was ok with lots of hot water, noise levels were ok as it was mainly families so going to bed fairly early, 2 proper swimming pools , 2 bars and 1 main restaurant .Things to do nearby were extremely limited - the odd supermarket but no bars or shops unless did long walk or got cab to palma nova or magalluf. We did walk around local streets which are full of expensive mansions and also discovered another small beach about 30 min walk away. Atmosphere was very multicultural and that made entertainment evenings a little lacking and the evening entertainment was held basically outside. Overall happy to go back for a quiet warm break.

I actually made a mistake booking this hotel, I thought the location was more central and lively. It was a fabulous mistake to make. The rooms were large and comfortable, the fridge was large, the a/c was fantastic. The pools were clean and large. The beach is literally right there! You can book snorkel tours right at the hotel that leave from the adjacent beach. The food at the buffet was different each night and always delicious and well maintained. The servers in the dining room could be more attentive, it is hard to order drinks. We stayed 4 days and never even ended up leaving the property (aside from the beach and tour)! I will definitely return.

This hotel has its pros and cons. The common areas are decent. The pools are small but OK, the lobby is nice and the restaurant is fine. The beach area is tiny but nice. I believe this is a public beach and not owned by the hotel. The rooms and service are very poor. I only stayed two nights, but my room was not cleaned for the duration of my stay. I ran out of clean towels and was unable to call reception or housekeeping to request a clean towel to shower with as the phone in my room didn't work. I had two air conditioner units in my room, but only one of them worked. I was visiting the hotel with friends, in total we had 5 rooms. All of us had issues with the room. One's toilet didn't work for a day, someone else didn't have their room cleaned either, another had a room with a musky smell and had to request a change in rooms, and another air condition unit did not work. There are lots of odd things with this hotel. One being that you have to rent beach/pool towels. They did not tell us this when checking in so when we got to the pool we were informed. However to rent the towels you have to go back up to reception, pay the $20 deposit, obtain a card, walk back down to the pool area to get the towel. Very inefficient process. We also had to wait about 3 hours after arriving in order to get into our room as they weren't cleaned yet.

this hotel is only suitable for families not for people without children. Very noisy, no access to pool areas due to children in pool all of the time. Sun beds constantly nabbed early in the morning by guests not even swimming. Too many add ons, i.e. safe, kettle, etc. Basic comfort for this 4 star hotel not met, a very grandiose reception area but then sent to various blocks of accommodation. Had to pay for the use of sun loungers on the beach, the only place we could get a sun lounger without getting up early to nab a sun bed which we refused to do. Dissapointed that despite the fact there was a hob and sink in the room no tea making facilities provided which would have made the stay more pleasant. Will not be visiting again. Noise from the entertainment well into the evening. Fine if you have children.

Great scenery beautiful beach very clean. Hotel was very lively and vast. Went on a four day break with a friend and really enjoyed ourselves. Room was clean and ok could do with some modernisation but had everything you needed. Extra was having a fridge in the room what a bonus. Lovely little bar at the back of beach and as we only had half board enjoyed having lunch there. Could not fault the food at the hotel great selection at breakfast and dinner something for everyone excellent. Hotel was quite noisy at night but really good entertainment if you take kids they will love the kids club.

Would definately return. Beautiful!
Although I thought we would be more centrally located, it ended up being so nice that we never left to go into town. The rooms were big, the pools were clean and big, the food was delicious. The staff were pleasant and friendly, the beach is so close it really is part of the hotel. We booked a snorkeling tour with H20 Adventures right near the pool, it was terrific, highly recommended. This resort had mostly families, a lot of small children, but somehow this did not disrupt our stay at all. The air conditioning was fantastic!
