Booked this hotel due to its proximity to the marina the main thing was to have somewhere we could just use as a base. We only booked bed and breakfast.
We arrived and were given barely any information on the hotel or facilities, just checked in and pointed in the direction of the lifts. For a premium room, we had two beds shoved together for a family of four to sleep in, a tv with faulty sound and a minibar that consisted of a bottle of water and two soft drinks, none of which were very cold because the fridge was overheating.
We decided the first night to eat in the hotel’s only restaurant. It wasn’t too busy and there was a fair range of food on offer, although the fish I had was raw. But the price was very reasonable - the food and drinks all week were well priced. Breakfast was the usual hotel buffet fare, not much else to say about it.
The main issues started at night when we tried to sleep and realised the air con was faulty. The temperature was in the high 30s and while the air con was on, the room was still stifling hot. You had to stand on a chair and put your hand up to the unit to feel anything and even then it was just like someone was blowing on you.
We complained and maintenance came but it made no difference. We had 5 sleepless nights before I couldn’t take anymore and checked into another apartment. When I checked out the receptionist didn’t even ask why.
We asked for a refund for the 2 nights we didn’t stay but the hotel refused.
