Start your holiday in Mäntsälä with a visit to Mäntsälä Church, dating back to 1866. There’s also a museum containing objects related to the church, some of them hundreds of years old and now unique, such as the bench on which sinners were shamed. Sepänmäki Crafts Museum is nearby, where you can explore traditional crafts in historic buildings and workspaces. The outside museum area hosts plenty of events during the summer months, such as the folk music festival Sepän Soitto. Originally built as a private residence, Hirvihaara Manor now offers delicious food in its restaurant, refreshing swim sessions and spa treatments, while Hirvihaaran Golf is only about three miles from here.
In addition to Hirvihaara, Mäntsälä includes numerous other manors which you can explore alone or with the help of a guide. Alikartano, formerly called Frugård, is considered a nationally important cultural spot, and Sälinkää Manor includes a restaurant with lakeside views.
