It's very well located, good restaurants nearby, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had some clothes dry cleaned and they were done the same day.

Very well located in once of nicest areas in Madrid. A great place for an extended stay since some of the suites have kitchenette.

I do not recommend this hotel for international travellers. Barrio de Salamanca front desk do not speak English, are very hard to contact, and respond very slowly. I made an Expedia.com booking a month ahead of my trip. Days before the trip I tried to shorten my stay but I couldnt adjust the booking online. I reached out to Expedia Support for assistance. Expedia and Barrio de Salamanca responded so slowly w multiple excuses regarding the complexity of adjusting my checkout that I ended up hitting the deadline for cancellations or adjustments to the booking! I called the hotel long distance to clarify the matter, but still the booking change was not executed properly. Ultimately I was charged for extra 4 days and only recieved a refund two weeks after returning home. Very painful and upsetting experience.

Good stay but over rated.
One night stay. Had to pay a huge price because if the soccer game and the city was booked out. The location is really good, quiet but lots of restaurants and bars in the immediate area. Staff are very helpful. Just not a 4 star hotel but it is clean and comfortable.

Don’t agree with the 4 star rating. The property in general is ok but not worthy of 4 stars. Room was clean but old and outdated. Not impressed particularly for the price of €200/night

Great suite for a great price
This was my favorite trip of a two week European trip. It was a beautiful suite with a bedroom and separate living area. The hotel staff was very helpful. The room was stocked with great amenities as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

Quick Night
We had a very smooth check in during the early morning hours. The gentleman at the front desk was very professional and polite. Our room was much, much bigger than anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. The room did show signs of aging, and there was a particular “old” scent and feel to the room, particularly a stuffy feeling. The beds were a but uncomfortable and the hotel could use an update and refresh. Overall however, we had a great stay and wouldn’t have any sort of problem staying again.

This have been the third time I use this hotel because is very close to US embassy. Same experience than before, it is cheap, pretty good customer service, well located to go for a walk in Madrid. Due to its good location, I have never eaten at the hotel. No own parking so you need to use external one (24 EUR/day). Small rooms, so if you want a room for three person you need to use a sofa bed. Other small but important details, please put big pillows, there are dwarf.

The place was convenient for my business trip purposes. Hotel was fairly clean and front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms and beds were small. I believe the 4 stars are given just by the location since decoration and room amenities are very basic compared to other 4 star hotels.

Great value in an upscale area
This hotel is a great deal - located in an upscale neighborhood close to the US embassy. The rooms are very large and spacious - one of our rooms had a terrific balcony overlooking someone's beautiful backyard. The hotel is simple and perhaps dated so I'm not sure it warrants a 4 star rating - but for a large room in a great neighborhood at a great price - it can't be beat!

Great value for unexpectedly large room
We had to book an emergency stay at a hotel near the US embassy. The price was fantastic and it was 1 block away from the embassy. Check-in, check-out, and general assistance by the staff was incredible (we ended up needing assistance a few times, staff was always friendly). We received a large room (had a living area, a larger bedroom, and a bathroom). The furniture and decor are older but in good condition.

this is our second stay in this hotel and we weren't disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beds and rooms are comfortable and spacious. Would certainly stay here again. Easy links to all attractions via very reliable local bus service.
