The Managers were appalling. We booked 3 suites for a week (1 x 2 bed rm and 2 x 3 bed rm). Managers do not believe in good customer service or customer satisfaction, especially Mr Sultan. Spent 1 hour talking and trying to negotiate with him, as originally they'd expected 3 adults to have 2.5 beds (ie. 1 x folding bed), but he did not respect our wishes and provide a decent solution to our issue without long discussions and threats to complain to higher bodies. Zero consideration for guest comfort. Unacceptable.
On the final day, I asked to speak with the duty manager to share my issues with him from the week's stay. The front desk advised me to speak to a Mr Ahmad. Upon reaching the reservations office, Mr Mohsin lied to me, telling me the manager was on his day off, however, they called Mr Ahmed in (he was waiting for me to leave outside) as I left the office.
Considering we were residing in the second most holy Islamic city in the world, to be treated in such a poor way was, quite frankly, the worst experience I have had in Madinatul Munawwarah in my life.
Other than this, their were some good points:
Cleaners were nice, visiting daily.
Proximity to Masjid Al Haram.
Suites provided good value for larger families.
All in all, the only way I'll revisit this hotel is if it is updated and the management changes.
