Really nice property. Annoying to have an extra $24.00 dollars charged in incidentals when I don't think I used anything extra. Especially after paying over $500.00 for a weekend

Better than staying at home!
The room and beds are very high quality. Like sleeping on clouds. The staff members are very nice….like staying at your families home, but better.

Room photo size on website is misleading
Overall, this is a charming hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly. We really liked the onsite restaurants. I do have a few issues with this hotel though. First, I reserved a premium king room and the actual room size is nothing like the photos they display for a premium king on their website. On their website photo, there is a white sofa in the room. There would have been no room for a sofa in the room we stayed in unless it was leaning up against the wall. See my photo of our premium king room and compare to their website. Second, breakfast consists of a muffin (good), a small Chobani yogurt, an orange juice, and an apple. Both mornings we were there, the apples were moldy. And lastly, there is a train that runs right by the hotel that blasts it's horn going by. It runs late at night. If you are a light sleeper, it may be an issue.

We love this hotel! We have come back time and again. The property is so unusual being a very old shoe factory turned hotel. The staff is always so pleasant. We love all the dining options just a short walk away. We will be going back!

Top notch experience
Fantastic experience - 5 stars for sure Lynchburg as whole rolls up it’s sidewalks at 9pm so be aware if you are having a late dinner - The elevator was being worked on but truly did not take away from the stay. The continental breakfast is delivered to your room - not a social experience. Very convenient in downtown Staff is amazing - friendliest I have encountered.

Such a cute, well manicured hotel with a cool history. Front desk staff always friendly and available. They were very transparent about the noise from nearby train tracks, and offered ear plugs and a sound machine. Trains were loud during the day but not bothersome at night. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Walking distance to lots of food options. A really enjoyable stay!

I loved the shoe theme at the hotel from the entrance, to the lobby, to the hallways, and the room. Just beautiful. Theresa the desk clerk was awesome and made everyone feel so welcomed. I highly recommend.

Nice hotel, but not worth the money.
Overall, this is a really nice hotel. However, I expected a lot more for the price I paid. My room was directly over one of the hotel restaurants, and my boyfriend and I could hear EVERYTHING (people talking, laughing, music, etc.) Also, my room had a ton of drain flies, and the toilet leaked every time it was flushed. My only other complaint is the complimentary breakfast. It's nice that it's provided, but it said on the card that it's delivered between 6AM-7AM. That means the refrigerated items could be left out for hours unless the guests are up when it's delivered. My boyfriend and I woke up around 8:45, so we didn't want to chance it. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the small details throughout the hotel were super cute. However, I think this was a one time experience for me due to the price.

All of our members and guests are important to us, and we strive to execute wonderful service. I have let the proper channels know of this review and we will learn from it. Please know that if at any time during any of our guests stay, if they have an issue with potential noise or location of their room, we can move you if availability allows and we are notified. In addition, the standard times for breakfast delivery are between 6-7a.m. However, we do and will accommodate our guests needing an earlier or later delivery. We simply need the communication to assist requests. I will be going over this with front desk staff as well. To ensure we are communicating our guests' options, when available. Eclectic in decoration, true to the history of space. Convenient for walking to dinner or out to downtown activities. Penny the dog, dogs always make people feel welcome. Clean. The bathroom vanities need more light to help those who do makeup. Parking can be a pain if your stay parallels an onsite event.

The smug manager Schuyler gave our room to someone else one hour prior to us arriving. He claimed they emailed me but I never received any email. Will never stay at a Marriott property going forward.

There is no fresh coffee anywhere on this property, they replaced their beautiful fresh coffee bar with cheap kurig machines. If fresh brewed coffee is important for you then do not go to the Craddock.
