The clerk ask for a $50 security deposit. Then charge me $309! Fortunately my bank returned the money within minutes of my notification to them. The clerk said it may take 3 to 4 days !

Paid pet fee for ESA
First problem was having to pay a pet fee for my service animal, and when I told them he was an ESA, they said they allowed dogs but not generally cats. Even though he’s certified. So was frustrated there. Second problem was the smell, while it wasn’t potent, you could clearly tell smoking was done in the room even though I booked a non-smoking room. Third were the stains on everything. From the sheets to the mattress cover to the towels. There was very little space on the bed that had no stains. And all the towels I had in the room had stains on them. Very disappointed in this stay. I usually have a great visit and prefer to stay at Econo lodge because I am a Choice Hotel Member, but I would not recommend this location.

Ok for what it was
The good- Price was great, 45 min or so easy commute to Louisville. Food and walmart/ shopping nearby. Staff was excellent. The bad- hardwood floors were sticky and dirty, not the cleanest; walls are thin and was woken up several times by a couple next door arguing. Instead of charging my card $50 for a deposit like they mentioned, they charged me for the entire amount of stay again for a deposit which basically crippled my trip.

*Definitely* a smokers' hotel.
Supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it's very obviously regularly smoked in, as I suspect all their rooms are. Smelled absolutely horrid, but that's what you get for the price I guess.

Convenient location. Staff was extremely friendly. The wifi did not work from our room. i was able to get on it in the office, but dropped when i was headed back to my attached (same wing) first floor room. i was trying to communicate with a pediatrician about medication, so I was NOT happy, but the “spotty wifi” (clerk’s words) were my only complaint.

I stayed at the Econo Lodge for roughly a week while I was in-between houses. I found a cup with a considerable amount of mould in an area you would think housekeeping would check. Very run down over all. “Breakfast” was basically bread ad coffee. Constant noise from the highway and screaming children running around, (there was no where else for them to go because it is right on the road), did not make for a peaceful night. I extended my stay a few days over the phone. I tried to call reception many times the next day to confirm my reservation but could not get through. I came back to find the new reservation did not exist and the hotel was completely booked. I had to scramble to find something for the night. Trying to save a few bucks was absolutely not worth the poor living conditions and ineptitude of the staff.

I was amazed at what I encounter at this motel as I has seen some really bad revues of this motel. I found that the room was very well kept and was really clean. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. The staff was very helpful and answered all questions. Was very quiet around there.

I liked that it was close to the event we were there for. I liked the shower, had a very nice shower head. I liked the mini fridge, kept things very cold.

Room smelled like someone was just smoking in it. Burn holes in the blankets… not a good stay

Mindfully designed rooms
Better than expected in terms of aesthetic, design, comfort and functionality. Friendly staff and even had a little patio for dining outside. The only thing I would update are the pillows, but ither than that, near perfect.
