Little did she know, I had already committed us to this adventure.Upon arrival, we encountered the motel's version of Fort Knox – a bulletproof window and a locked lobby door. We finally made it to our room, only to find an ashtray in a 'non-smoking' room, stained sheets that could tell a thousand stories, and a shower that performed a never-ending water dance.Surprisingly, no bed bugs joined our adventure, so we actually slept soundly.
