The front desk was not staffed. I had to call a posted number and they said they woud sen some one down. A woman appeared and gave us two keys to rooms that we actually both on the second floor. I am handicapped and had requested at least one floor on ground floor level. Keys to rooms did not work, WE returned ro office and called agaib for service. Waited 15 minutes then drove off to alternate lodging. Please refund!

Thank goodness, we have boarded our stay when we did. The space was misrepresented on the site. There was no heat in our room and the environment seemed pretty unsafe. We ended before it became any worse.

I booked two rooms for 4 of my install technicians that were in town for our company on a job for the week. 2 of them were put in a room that had not been cleaned. They did move them to another room. When I asked them at the end of the week how their stay was, they said that they would refuse to stay there again, if asked to. I am going to assume that their stay was not very good. I'm not surprised to be honest. I only booked it for them because there were no other rooms available at other hotels...guess that should've been my first clue.

This place was extremely disappointing. We are ok with older furnishings and dont expect luxury as long as it is clean and safe. But it was so disgusting! The humidity smell was very bad. There was a humidifier in the hall and 2 DampRids in the room. It was full of flies. The comforter had stains. The sheets looked clean but underneath them was disgusting. The room was not really vacuumed. There was food and garbage in the corners of the floor and under furniture. We opened the door to let air in and see if that helped. Should have left then but there were no other hotels in town. We then went to dinner and concert and came back a few hours later. They key card reader batteries did not work, so it took about 10 minutes to have attendant get us into the room. Then we told her about the problems. With her, we looked closer at bed and discovered bed bug poop and what looked like related stains. Found actual mold clusters on the floor under the bed. She agreed it was moldy and disgusting. After communicating to management and attendant our concerns all we got was dismissive comebacks that “it is a fine room” and “yeah I have been bitten many times”. No attempts to make it better. So, we left! Now they are arguing the refund request! I would never wish that unhealthy environment on anyone! We slept in our car because it was a music festival weekend and everything was booked! We will be sharing pictures and filing a complaint with the public health department.

If you’re just trying to stay close to the fair, this place is great. However, if you look closely you’ll notice the dirty bathtub, the dirty AC unit and the years of dust in the filter, and the left over Mt Dew bottles left from previous guest. It did the job though, I had somewhere to sleep and the dirty AC unit did cool very well.

I stayed for the Lewisburg State Fair. I only was looking for a place to lay my head and take a shower that night. All boxes were ticked off. Easy parking, convenient, and clean! Of course I got a room as soon as it was cleaned, but it was nice. The only downside was the fridge. It just had an awful smell so we didn't bother to use it. Also, it was so quiet until the early morning when the room above us was stomping around and woke us up extremely early. Other wise this is a good hotel and I would stay again.

Great location, horrid hotel
I have stayed at this hotel for several years to attend the state fair and there is no better location.. HOWEVER, the degradation of the rooms, the lack of cleanliness, the horrid management and the hideous service are finally at the point of over reaching the convenience. The manager has no idea what she's doing. Credit cards aren't charged or over charged and then she can't fix them...this is IF you can find her. 2/3 of the time, she is MIA. The rooms are NOT clean. My floors had not even been swept. There was trash in the trash cans and I had to ask for sheets to change the beds myself. None of the corners have been mopped or swept for so long that the dust, bugs, hair etc are actually stuck to the floor. There soda splashed all over the wall. The ice machine is on the ground floor in a room and there isn't even a scoop to get the ice out. Towels are rationed as if they are gold and the cleaning and other staff can't take the cigarettes out of their mouth long enough to do their jobs so all the nonsmoking rooms wreak of cigarette smoke. The staff are also unfriendly and edge om being rude. Two final notes - the staff were charging $20/day for fairgoers to park their cars meaning hotel guests didn't get to park near their rooms and in some cases, not at all because the lot was full! Second, when an issue arose with the record keeping that the manage did for my stay, i started receiving calls well after midnight to try to get it resolved. Who does that?

Room had awful smell. No service to change towels or bedding even after 6 days. Shower leaked so that popcorn ceiling was falling down. Bugs everywhere. Door did not shut tight and lock was flimsy at best. Sorry, but never coming back.

This is a motel to be AVOIDED!
I strongly advise avoiding this motel, primarily because the owner shows no disposition for making sure the alleged amenities are functioning properly. In my stay on July 6, 2023, the TV, the air conditioning system, and the wi-fi, were all defective. For example, the TV had such poor reception that it gave me a headache to watch any program. In fact, the reception was worse than when TV's first came out in the 1950's! The air conditioning unit was very noisy and couldn't be set on "low". And the wi-fi kept dropping my connection, making it impossible to do any work. When I called the owner, we had a brief conversation, whereupon he said he'd call me "right back". I never received his promised call-back, and he never responded to two messages I left on voice mail, requesting a call-back. In sum, the owner was rude, and the amenities had apparently never been checked for proper functioning.

This motel looked more like long term resident housing. We were given an upstairs room in the messy, unkept building. Check ins after us were given rooms in the nicer more kept building, why? Maybe they didn't book through travelocity. Who knows why. I didn't feel safe there. Room appeared clean but several lights didn't work including the light above the sink which was outside the bathroom. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

There were several lights not working throughout the room. The light on the bedside table did work but the individual lights for each side of both beds didn't work. Also the light above the sink didn't work. The mini refrigerator was plugged in but was malfunctioning, it stayed warmer than the room.

Ok for a short stay
We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our way home from vacation and to visit a friend. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The furniture and fixtures were dated and showed their age. The parking lot was well lit, which was somewhat of a relief when we were informed by some locals about the neighborhood the hotel was in. We would definitely stay here again if ever needed a convenient and well priced room for a night

We had a really great stay at this property. The room was very nicely updated and clean and also quiet. Located close to all the activites going on in town which is such a beautiful city in West Virginia. We will be back and highly recomend staying at the Motel M Lewisburg. Ammigs

While I understand that the owner has a lot of responsibility to keep up the property, in order to check in, you had to call a telephone number. He did immediately appear. I suppose not having an employee always at desk duty, he is able to keep room rates low. Just be prepared to make the telephone call.
