Fantastic location - views of spectacular historic buildings, only meters away, short walk to nearly ALL of Leipzig's incredible museums, theaters (concert hall, opera house, etc) and phenomenal historic restaurants.

Convenient location, good breakfast. Unfortunately when I checked in the staff weren’t able to find my Expedia reservation on their system, but after showing them several emails from Expedia, they provided a room. They couldn’t explain why the reservation didn’t appear on their system.

I stayed at the property during Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival. There were a lot of events downtown, but the hotel neighborhood was one of the quieter places downtown which I really enjoyed. The room I had which faced the inside court was really quiet so I could rest really well. Staff was friendly and quick. Loved this hotel, will be back.

Location is superb, All historic sites are within short walking distances Be aware contruction in front and around the hotel bring a nuisance. A bit difficult to find the entrance and horrible odours are brought in alledgdely by the air-conditioning system.

It's position was excellent - very central. We didn't need any facilities as we were visiting relatives. A disappointment was the lack of tea-making facilities , which we had thought would be available. We avoided breakfast - nearly 20 euros each! - but there were plenty of bakeries open nearby. We had a lovely view from our top floor room over the square, and it was lovely that the window could be opened. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

Once the hotel is complete, I imagine it will live up to the NH brand (we stayed at 4 other NHs during this trip and had no issues and generally like the brand). Unfortunately, however, this hotel was evidently opened too early (perhaps to capitalise on Bachfest crowds). Construction was ongoing inside the building, on the streets, etc. This limited accessibility for guests with mobility concerns-- or anyone with luggage. Worse, however, was the fact that our room had a malfunctioning air conditioning unit (mounted in the ceiling). This unit cascaded water across our floors overnight, which prevented us from sleeping well either night. The Putzfrau/cleaning staff were horrified and requested repairs or that we be moved, but this request was not accommodated. When we contacted Hotels.com and they attempted to speak with management they were told that no one was available (repeatedly). The front desk staff were efficient and pleasant, but ultimately we were unable to rest there-- and I ended up with a sinus infection after the trip which likely can be attributed to standing water in our room throughout the weekend. In sum, as the bartender and other staff told us, they really should have waited another month to finish the hotel and test systems before accepting reservations.
