Larcomar Shopping Center

Lima featuring a sunset and a pond as well as a large group of people

Spend the day at this award-winning shopping centre with an innovative design on the edge of a cliff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

Larcomar is a shopping center with an extraordinary location on the edge of the mossy cliffs that overlook the Pacific Ocean. Its design is so original that it won the award for Innovative Design in Construction from the International Council of Shopping Centers. It houses around 160 shops with an eclectic range of themes, from upmarket boutiques to charming stores selling Peruvian handicrafts. There is a general upmarket-and-exclusive theme that corresponds with the wealthy Miraflores area. The mall features a cinema, a theater, a gallery, an arcade and a bowling arena.

Gaze out at the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from inside the mall. The vista is completely unobstructed and generates the sensation of being in a ship out at sea – without the waves. You can see mountains and various settlements in the distance. Walk around the outdoor plaza by the ocean. The outdoor area is decorated with colorful flowers and modern architectural designs. Win prizes on the arcade games. Sit at a restaurant and enjoy the view as you sip coffee.

Watch the blue sky transform into a glorious array of warm colors as the sun goes down beyond the horizon. Enjoy a few drinks over dinner at one of the shopping center’s bars and restaurants. Practice your moves on the dance floor at a disco in the mall at night. There are many upmarket hotels in the area where you may wish to stay.

See a movie in one of the cinema’s 12 rooms. Watch a play at the theater. Have some family fun on the bowling lanes.

The mall area is always open, although there are various opening times for its attractions and events. The shops are open from morning until late in the evening. Most restaurants open around noon. There are discounts available for travelers if you present your passport.

Larcomar is situated by the cliffs and bays of the affluent Miraflores area in the southwest of Lima. It is a 7-mile (11.3-kilometer) taxi journey south from the historic center of the city, where you can find the Cathedral of Lima and the Government Palace. The journey should take around 20 minutes. There are many glamorous shops, restaurants and hotels in the Miraflores area.
