It was quite. There was no where to go to see anything very secluded only 1 place to eat and it was a tavern. We were scheduled to stay 2 nights but only stayed 1 and then left. Probably 1 of the worse place to stay stay

Was there for a family/business trip. Rooms were well cleaned. No frills but very comfortable stay. I thought this location was a great stay and incredibly hospitable for a place in a small town like Lamberton! 5 stars and I'd stay here again anytime! Owner /operator is a super nice guy and their rates are super reasonable too!

Clean "smelling" but also very clean. There is a difference. Best hotel bed I've encountered - i prefer a firm mattress. Take quick showers. Set off carbon monoxide detector after about 15 minutes. Staff were wonderful. I'd stay again.

Local roadside near LIW sites
Small local hotel near the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites. Very clean. Beds seemed firm at first but were actually comfy. It is a older property so some wear and tear was expected. Great parking. Saw a raccoon pass by in the treed area out front early one morning so it is def a rural spot. Breakfast options were all packaged foods except for bananas.

The door lock was broken (non existent) so we couldn’t lock the door at bedtime from the inside. We stacked a chair and dresser in front of the door for our safety. Front desk admitted it was broken and said someone “might” fix it this week. Very negligent

Terrible customer service before check-in
We received multiple calls from Oyo before arriving, while driving. One call we could not hear and we asked them to call us back. They didn't. This caused concern that something was wrong with our reservation so we called back, but it went to a general Oyo number. They said everything was fine and asked what time we'd be checking in. Fast forward a couple of hours and we received a call from the motel itself. The employee (owner? manager?) said they had a customer in front of them and that if we didn’t pay over the phone immediately they would cancel our reservation because they were otherwise sold out. I thought we'd paid & said so, & said that we'd already told the company what time we'd be arriving. He said if I didn’t pay within 5 minutes he would cancel the reservation - one that I made several months ago. I asked that he check with his company about the payment. He said to call him back in 5 minutes. In that time I also checked my account & discovered they had already checked me in. I also chatted w/ a hotels.com representative and found out I had selected pay at check-in. I called back and paid. When we arrived at 10 p.m, the Vacancy sign was shining brightly and only a few rooms had cars in front of them. The rooms are not nearly as clean & bright as they look on the website. Multiple carpet stains. Also agree w/ another reviewer about boxing in the a.c. to cover the spray foam. Overall we slept well & the shower was good. A lid on the toilet seats would also help.

- perfect place to crash after long day of driving - Great farming town, friendly people - Got my run in and had a delightful time running through the town - Super kind and friendly management - Very comfortable beds - Bathroom and air conditioner housing unit could use some upgrading, visually, but they worked! - It was a steal at $45/night - Dog-friendly, too! - Continental breakfast was just enough to get us on the road (doughnuts, coffee, I hot cider, cold cereal and milk, instant oatmeal)

The staff was very nice and helpful, they recommended places to eat close by. The room was very clean and more than met our basic needs! One of the staff members was power washing the building and screens on the windows. Very impressed with how well maintained this older motel was! Very close to Walnut Grove and Jeffers Petroglyphs!

I Love Lucy’s Creek
We loved it. It was exactly what we needed and what we expected. This was a super fun mid-century motel to stay in. It reminded us of a couple of really funny, successful comedy series and of trips we took as children with our families. They do need to make some minor improvements, like boxing in the AC in the room so the insides off the wall around the AC aren’t exposed. But really, we have no other complaints, and that issue didn’t bother us at all.

Not great but not bad either
Our stay was generally good. My only gripes were: (1) the ONLY breakfast options were sweet (i.e., cereal with sugar like frosted flakes), (2) the coffee in our room was not re-stocked after the first night, and (3) our sink drained really slowly. Other than that, our stay was generally comfortable.

Everything was very clean and the updates made were great. I loved the lawn chairs outside and the little picnic area. The bottled water we got at check-in was a nice touch as was the availability of coffee, tea, cereal, fruit, and cookies for breakfast. Our check was simple and everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. It was especially convenient for the Wilder pageant we went to in Walnut Grove and there's a lot to see nearby. The information binder in our room was filled with menus for area restaurants and was very helpful. Our room was a great value and a terrific place to stay!!!

Under new management, sparkling clean inside. Old building looks a little shabby on the outside, but they're working on it. Good location for exploring Walnut Grove.

A very simple location right along Highway 14. The accommodations were good and the room had notes to inform you of their low cost motel. No house keeping all done my the owners. Very efficiently handled.

Plain, could be far better
Middle of nowhere, clean, plain uncomfortable matress, rude office worker took an hour to show up to give me the key, lukewarm water to shower, tv satellite wouldnt connect, decent internet.
