The coffee machine had coffee on the base and new cups placed on it. I killed two roaches in the bathroom and one ran across my backpack that I knocked off but never found. Continental breakfast was 3 cereals none of which I eat. Positive side coffee was good. Was lower cost than anything else in area for a reason. Get what you pay for so I blame myself for trying to save a little money. Never again.

Be sure to read a good sample of the reviews. This property is in poor condition. The staff was friendly and courteous. But I would not recommend this facility to anyone today.

It was a nightmare. I would never EVER stay in a Howard Johnson again in my life. I didn’t feel safe. Another guest was asking me for money in the front door of the lobby. I did the check in at 1AM. I stayed 15 minutes until I could arrange another hotel feeling unsafe in my room. As soon I booked another hotel I left the hotel. I was even afraid of going back to the lobby. In those 20 minutes we were in the hotel we saw 3 cockroaches. 44 Year old Female and 12 year old daughter. RUN. Do not say there.

It didn’t look like the pictures and the shower water was very cold. It took more than 20 minutes just to get warm. The door had a huge gap at the bottom that let light and bugs could’ve gotten in. I could tell the cleaning ladies did a very poor job, the floor was disgusting, my daughters feet were black and full of dust from walking on them

1 roach 2 roach 3 roach, bunch! daylight coming and me wanna go home. Found at least 6 roaches. Lady street walkers around looking for a hookup and walking in and out of several rooms, lots of plant smoking and nightlife activity, young guys looking for a lighter, dog paw prints on the bed sheets. Thought a Howard Johnson Wyndham would be good quality but rather sleep in the car and save my cash. Staff was nice and refunded me, seems like they're used to it. City or department of health should shut this place down dirty dining style and tent for bugs and keep the riff-raff away

Sheila at the front desk was really nice, the place is clean but at 6:30 am my daughter started screaming because it was a cockroach in her bed

On the website it said there was a restaurant on the premise but apparently that restaurant was closed during Covid. The water pressure for the shower was very low. Hard to shower with low pressure like that. Other than that it was a nice place to stay.

General outside property is run down and below average, dirty walkway, unkept landscaping, other guests congregated outside and smoking, presence of transients created unease feelings. Inside room is bad and has poor maintenance: continuous leaking refrigerator created slipping hazard, lingering pee odors, presence of cockroaches. We checked out and left a few hours later the same day.

The main room was clean-ish but in need of some upkeep. The bathroom walls were dirty and the door showed signs of water damage. The outlet near the hair dryer had scorch marks and the hair dryer plug was heat damaged. On the upside, check-in was a breeze and the front desk staff were very pleasant.

Our first night was terrible. The floor was filthy. The plumbing for the shower was leaking. I asked for another room; none available for the first night, but they moved us to another room for the second night. MUCH Better!

Front desk was great. Had to ask the housekeeper for an extra towel. She was great as well. Howard Johnson is a nice place to stay to although you can tell that it’s an old property. It just needs to upgrade.
