Nice stay in strategic posotion
Giulia was super nice and provided us with great recommendations to get the most out of this trip. Parking was a bit tricky in this area, but Giulia sent us to a large parking lot 5 mins away that had available spots most of the time. Overall a great stay. Cash is recommended.

Good service and location
Received a warm welcome from Julia who gave helpful advice re: transport and attractions. Room was clean and spacious enough for a lone traveller. Breakfast around the corner was nice too. Internet was fast. Hot water would turn lukewarm and eventually cool after ~10 mins which is probably a good thing for someone that tends to overstay their welcome in the shower haha. The only issue was soundproofing. I was able to hear the next-door conversations quite clearly and I felt very conscious of the music/videos that I was playing. Perhaps bring headphones if you’re worried about disturbing other guests. Oh and the lift door requires a key to unlock so you might struggle to get your luggage to the third floor when you first arrive. Would suggest ringing in advance to check that someone’s able to let you in and help you with luggage if you’re not travelling light. Location wise, literally next to the central station and a short walk to the port (I appreciate your definition of “short” depends on your mobility). Overall a nice experience and would stay here again.

Very good value for the money. Excelllent timely indication for late entry. Agreable owner. Close to train station, use elevatoRby the station. As there in no front desk, luggage storage may be more practical at the train station ( €5 per piece). Simple but nice breakfast at closeby bars.

Kindest, warmest hosts! Really went out of there way for our family of six. Very modern and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. We were surprised by how much we love La Spezia and it's shops and cafes. Absolutely loved it here!

Very close to the train station for a short stay. Visited Cinque Terre and used this hotel as a based point. Very convenient location. Hotel staff was very helpful.

We arrived late the first night but followed Giulia's directions (a bit complicated with the elevator) and made it to our room with no problems. She gave us helpful advice on visiting the Cinque Terre (do not miss Portovenere, and take the boat on the way out and the train on the way back).

Wonderful host and great location
Im an asian girl travelling Italy alone. Giulia and her husband has awesome hospitality. I was really sick so they called me a doctor too. Rooms are tidied up everyday The location is great for anyone looking for relatively affordable accomodation outside of cinque terre. The villages are very accessible by train in LaSpezia. Supermarkets are 3 min and 10min walk away

Good experience
The place was newly renovated. The owners waited for us as we have a late train arrival. She was very nice and accommodating. She gave us some tips around the area and how to get to the tourist destinations.

Great hotel in a perfect location
Giulia is very friendly and accommodating of changes. The room was in perfect condition in a great, very walkable location. The bed was comfortable, the amenities adequate, the room had many power outlets in convenient locations, and Giulia was very helpful in explaining the keys to the room and the main attractions around.

superb accommodations
besides being an informative and helpful host, Giulia was very accommodating when I had to cancel our second night there. the property was perfectly situated next to the train station for easy access to cinque terre, and easy walking to all that la spezia had to offer. the room was large and spectacularly clean. would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Giulia sent me an email a couple days before my reservation and made sure I can get to the hotel with no problem. On the day of reservation, my plan was changed. I notified Giulia and when I arrive there, she is waiting for me at an intersection. She explained everything and gave me detailed information about cinque terre and la special. She was so helpful and made me feel so welcomed. The location is also great! 5 mins walk from the train station. Would recommend to everyone!

Good place to to visit La Spezia & Cinque Terra
Room was a stones throw to the station where we caught the train to Cinque Terra & close to the Castillo San Georgio & a vibrant shopping & dining area. Place was clean & comfortable & reasonably priced for what it offers. Parking is on the streets. The lady we dealt with was very professional. You must arrange a time to meet her for the keys & after that you are left to your own devices which we were fine with. We had no complaints.

Giulia, the host, was so nice and hospitable. Contacting her was no problem, she replies emails very quickly. She cleans the room well and the air conditioning was strong. It was a nice cosy room. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed this trip a lot because we can have a goodnight rest in this guesthouse. The location was awesome, just 2mins walk away from centrale.

Great stay in La Spezia.
The room was small but very clean. The bed was comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great.The hotel is located in a safe and clean area 1 block from the train station. The host were very nice people who makes you feel completely welcome. I would stay here again if traveling alone because of the small room. But they have other rooms that i did not get to see the size.

Stayed here as a base for the Cinque Terra. Just across the road from the railway station to catch a train every morning to a different village. Quiet and comfortable, and the hosts could not do enough for you with local information and recommendations

Does not have traditional lobby, but staff waited for us to check-in at our desired time. The room was perfect for my wife and me. Although the owner of the cafe below doesn't speak English, we were still able to work things out for breakfast.

Great location if traveling to cinque terre.
Neighborhood was a bit off putting but room was fine. Guisti was helpful. Had to wait for him to check in. Parking not the greatest. Was a bit of a trek from the house. Wifi fine. Breakfast was basically a drink and a croissant. Not the best. If travelling to cinque terre, location is very near train station and is perfect for that.

We were only in La Spezia for one night, and because of La Branda's location we were truly able to make the most of it! The owner's father showed us our rooms (there was a seperate living room) and was extremely helpful to point us to free parking and explain the area. 3 minutes by foot from the room to the train station we were in beautiful Cinque Terre within minutes, and could enjoy an afternoon and amazing dinner there (even a quick swim in the Mediterranean). Both La Branda and this great area are well worth a visit!

We stayed 3 nights here & travelled each day by train to the La Cinque Terre. The room was pleasent & facilities were good. The breakfast was a nice touch, you get a voucher for coffee & a pastry at a choice of 2 locations. We preferred the bakery & although it isn't on the doorstep like the other choice, it had a much larger selection & a great authentic Italian atmosphere! We found the owner couldn't do enough for us, she was fantastic & was always available when we needed anything.

Our host was very friendly and provided us with lots of useful information. The room is very conveniently located as it is across the street from the train station. At the same time, this also made the room very noisy and I had to sleep with ear plugs. Room was very big and access to a kitchen was very nice. Convenient to have an elevator in the building as well.

Great Budget hotel by train station
My stay at La Branda was better than expected. The woman who checkedvme in was friendly, though I would call or email before hand to give her a heads up on your expected arrival time. The hotel is right next to the train station, but is not close to the water if thats what you are looking for. However, I only had to walk about 5 minutes to get to the active part of town and another 10 I was by the sea. The room was clean and had a fridge!

The location is about 5 mins from La Spezia train station and easily accessible. Make sure to tell the hosts when you expect to arrive, so that they can be there to greet you (otherwise you can't get in). The room and bathroom was super clean, well taken care of. You also get a breakfast voucher for a pastry shop nearby, where you can get a croissant and a drink for free. The hosts were extremely nice and welcoming. On the day we left, we had to catch the 6am train. The host Guilie was so kind as to prepare us with yogurt, juice, and bread/snacks on the day we left. I recommend and would stay again.

So FRIENDLY!
Our stay at La Branda was a very pleasant one. Our hosts were very accommodating. Even when my fiancé was unwell they offered to go to the pharmacy for us. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is practical and the bathroom new and clean. The guest house is right near the station so it is ideal for training to the 5 towns and is also walking distance to the ferry (it is a small town really). They have a washing machine which was free and good for us as we have been travelling for two months. The elevator is useful and not so common in the smaller guest houses we have noticed.

Wonderfully helpful hostess, convenient location
The hotel owners are a husband and wife, and they are very friendly and helpful people. They offered a very warm welcome. The hotel itself is pretty simple - a converted apartment broken up into rooms. Some don't have a private bathroom, one I think has a private bath outside the room, and the room my husband and I stayed in had an en-suite. Everything was clean and all the necessities were there. It was perfectly suitable for walking around La Spezia, or taking the train through the Cinque Terre, being that the train station is pretty much across the street (not noisy though). Nothing fancy, just a nice, clean, quiet place to wash up and lay your head after a day of exploring.

We enjoyed two nights at la branda, stayed here for convenience as it is close to the train station and we wanted to visit cinque Terre. Very easy to get to all the villages from this hotel, across from train station and trains run every 20-30 min. Also much cheaper than any hotel in cinque Terre and only a 5 min train ride so worth it to stay here instead. Only thing was we got there and nobody answered, had to ask around and call the number and the lady had to come open the door for us. She lives 10 min away and we waited about 30 min for her to get there. Make sure you inform her what time u will arrive otherwise she won't be there to open door and you have to call her to come. Once she got there she was very friendly, gave us info about trains and breakfast passes for two nearby cafés (includes a coffee and croissant which is the typical Italian breakfast, nothing fancy but still nice to get free). Rooms are nice with cute balcony, towels and coffee and tea in the rooms and candies and a fridge. Good value!

Big comfy room and provided with everything we needed to know to explore Cinque Terre. Across the road from the station and we were able to do our washing and get it dry. Fantastic. Breakfast delicious.

Great place and location.
Awesome for a visit to Cinque Terre. Room is right across from the train station. Check in lady was so helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. We felt very safe. Everything you need is all around. Has great internet.
