The rooms and staff are wonderful but please note this property does not have elevator and you should take multiple steps with your heavy luggage to your room.

Restaurant and Spa closed - only made aware when we arrived. No mention of this when booking. Very expensive considering the lack of available facilities. Air con in room was very noisy so not a good nights sleep either.

A normal hotel but at the price of a spa hotel!!
The Golden Royal Hotel is famous as a spa hotel when in fact during our stay the spa was closed, which greatly affected the nature of the vacation. It is very difficult to find the hotel because there is no signage in the area, we made 3 rounds until we found the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent and varied, the staff is very kind, the rooms are large, beautiful and decorated, and most importantly, clean. Overall, an excellent hotel, but the advertisement that the hotel is a spa hotel and the price is the price of a spa hotel is very misleading. If we had known, we would not have come to this hotel.

Excellent location and great hotel.
Excellent location just off the main tourist street with shops and restaurants all around, yet the street the hotel is on is quiet so you can sleep. Very grand slightly faded decor in keeping with the old town vibe. Room and bathroom were huge. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Kosice itself also lovely to visit and felt very safe.

Nice hotel, central location, clean rooms. Could not use spa facilities, due to corona precautions. Poor WiFi connection at night, but overall nice place to stay in Kosice if you wanna be close to city center. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Helpful staff at reception and restaurant. Good selection for breakfast. Very pretty receptionists:)

Generally the hotel is in good location, however the room we get is not ras we expect. To access the room, you need to pass via noncovered pass, in winter.

Quirky and Quaint! - But Comfortable!.Loved It!
Loved it all! Spa Area was a bonus! Rooms are "oldy Worldy" but I loved that feeling for a change and everything worked! Tons of TV Channels - including UK ones i.e ITV and BBC! Lots of Hot Water with excellent Bathroom Toiletries! Bed was comfortable too with memory foam matress! Breakfast was mediocre and basic...But had smoked salmon and meats cheeses etc. Breakfast Staff not very smiley or chatty. I loved this quirky hotel and would stay again! Reception staff VERY friendly!:) Thank you!

No one told us that the only street to the hotel was going to be shut down for 3 hours on Friday night. We couldn't get back to the hotel until after 10 pm. The staff in reception was very friendly and accommodating. The room was only OK but it was clean. The spa was very nice but the water temperature in the indoor pool was cold and the small jacuzzi for two was on the cold side also.

A great place for a city break.
Very central, with a lovely spa facility, it is nonetheless quiet. The on street parking is conveniently located, and there are plenty of restaurants locally to choose from.

This hotel like a big house, no packing lot in the building, need packing on the street. They have a good eating area. it is nice. The rooms Upgraded. Looks nice too. But no elevator to go upstairs..

Fantastic experience
What a fantastic hotel, hidden behind a nondescript entrance, this boutique hotel is a real treasure. Beautiful rooms (the “Business” suite is lovely), with a covered courtyard where the restaurant is located, a somewhat quirky layout provides an amazing location to chill out and relax. The hotels spa is a real treat, providing a relaxing small pool, jacuzzi, hot tub, steam room, sauna and other services. Can not recommend this hotel enough

Holiday Hotel not 4 business & family with kids
Having arrived late in night , there was a humble lady at the reception, who offered me room which was at distant 100 metres which includes multiple stairs and walking around in the hotel, going out of the hotel in the roof to reach another part , coming up and down. With lot of luggage it was horrible , I have acute problem in my back and had lot of pain but nothing could happen. It was pathetic to live in this hotel since it has no lift and no one to help the guests to lift baggage. Room was nice and breakfast area is nice .

Awesome location
The hotel is in a great location in the historic quarter, near Jakub Palac, the bus station, and a large number of restaurants. Parking is in the street, reserved for the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choices and great service. The HVAC did not seem to work in the room, but it was fine. Service was wonderful. The downside is that there is no elevator. There was also no standup shower in the room. It was a bathtub with a handheld shower head, so you will have to be careful so that you do not get the bathroom all wet when showering.

Wedding/Reception
We attended a Wedding in Kocise and stayed at the Golden Palace. The wedding reception was also at the Golden Palace. The wedding was held at the Cathedral -- beautiful. The reception was like no other. Food was excellent, wine kept flowing and people danced all night. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms regal.

Nagyon elégedettek vagyunk. A szálloda pár percre van a központtól. A személyzet nagyon kedves. Tágasak voltak a standard szobáink, kényelmes volt az ágy, finom és bőséges a reggeli, wellness is tökéletes.😊
