First stay - six nights standard king-size. Compared to the pricing and branding as a business hotel, my expectations were not high. I was expecting a very basic frugal room with WiFi and breakfast. The stay was of course positively far beyond expectations. An amazing hotel that has truly hand-picked the crème-de-la-crème hospitality staff and line management and providing in-room dining food options of a range and quality far beyond anything I have experienced in the last 10 years, in metro cities in 5 & 6 star properties (I have spent an average of 95 days per year in hotels in India between ITC, Taj, Hyatt, Westin and Oberoi). For experienced travellers - it is quite a well known fact that food in luxury hotels are probably one of the worst in terms of handling and freshness, although at arm-and-a--leg prices. I was first of mind to jealously keep this review away with the fear that it will become a sought-after hotel (it is already full on almost all days) - but recognition must prevail. Monotel is indeed boutique for the things that matters - i) staff cordially going the extra length, ii) food & service in general. Of course, the old adage stands: treat your hosts as family if you expect them to treat you as family :)
