Fantastic 5 night stay in an over water villa
Our stay was perfect.it was exactly what we wanted. The overwater villa is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was brilliant and the glass floor in the villa looking into the pool was amazing. The views were stunning from the sun deck as well.overall the accomodation exceeded our expectation.we had a brilliant time and i would recommend the villas to anyone looking for something private and unique. Oh and i mustn't forget to mention the hot tub which comfortably accommodated 2 people and the views again were incredible. The staff were so attentive and personable. They made us feel special. There are a few shops and restaurants within 10 mins walk from the hotel but the main chaweng area is realistically a short taxi journey away. I suggest you make use of the free buggy service which picks you up from the bottom of the hill and takes you to your room. Its not a huge walk but its very steep.i did the walk once and regretted it. Overall we certainly did not regret paying extra for the villa and will definitely be staying again when we return to koh samui this time next year.

If i came back to this island - i would stay here again. Next time i would go for the room with the swimming pool - if u can afford it! Do it! Breakfast was great. Hotel was spotless. Clean rooms Great staff. Wifi was spot on everywhere. Your far enough away from the main strip - but walking distance. Bir of a tourist trap but great never the less.

I had the over the water villa which made my stay a lot more pleasing. The hotel is very old. Buffet breakfast was very ordinary. Staff very helpful. The view was spectacular. They have a daily bus that takes you to their sister beach hotel which we used. The hotel also has a buggy service that takes you up and down the hill so you don’t have to walk.

Had a good time in KC for a night, too short. Stayed in garden room, the space was huge but a bit aged. They provided baby cot with no charge for my 6 month old baby. The view from the hotel is amazing as it’s located in hill top. From the rooftop, flights landing and take off from airport can be seen, other side is Water villas & the beautiful end of beach. Buggy is there for any movement and it’s walking distance to nearby restaurants. Breakfast was sufficient. Hospitality from staffs are good. Will be back in future again.

The jaccuzi in the room was old and rusty. The colour of the jaccuzi had turned from white to yellow so it was very unpleasant and the taps were completely rusty. The staff at the front desk abd the reception were not helpful. We came to check in and waited for the room (because it was not ready in time) for half an hour and the staff didn’t even offer us a drink. The workers were impatient and quite rude. In addition, the coffee was not included on the breakfast and cost 100 bth for a cup. We booked a boat through the hotel to Ko Tau and they were not helpful and did not explain that we have to get a very expensive cab to the peer. The only good part were the staff in the dining room and at the pool that were very nice. Especially Dean that was in charge of the omlettes- she was so kind and very good at her job. Also the guards and buggy drivers were nice and helpful.

Problem with A/C
The first night the A/C wasn’t working properly and even though requested to be moved they brought us a fan. In the morning we complained again and then they moved us. This room was very good. Drinks at the bar were very small and expensive, basically the same price as at home. Breakfast was good and they make to order eggs but took a while to get. Many guests and only 2 people making the egg orders. Most everyone tried very hard to give good service. I expected the hotel to be at the beach as their name of Over Water Villas but wasn’t. Very misleading name but after I got there I realized that most hotels were the same and had misleading names.

Very poor attitude of F&B manager. We had special request for vegetarian food. Instead of being helpful and willing to listen, he wasn’t just ready to even reply properly. We have travelled the world over but never ever have faced staff with such rude behaviour. We understand that at some places and over some times, food of our liking isn’t available and we don’t mind that. However, the manager over here, he was soooo rude..... never expected such behaviour from him. This was our 3rd visit to Thailand. Our previous experience with properties such as Amari etc were simply super, but not this time at K C Resorts....the behaviour of indifference started with F&B manager, and continued with bell boys, housekeeping staff and all. Only saving grace was Sonia, at reception who was quite helpful.

It's a nice and very cheap resort. For the pricing the quality was fair. It is on the hillside and 2km away fromnthe city center which makes it a bit inconvenient but on the other hand it is quiet. There is a shuttle bus in the morning and in the afternoin to the KC beach resort (different KC owned hotel closer to the beach and the city center) but only one shuttle back to the hotel in the morning which makes it a little bit annoying to return back to the hotel after spending time at the beach. A better shuttle timing for return busses would be appreciated. The breakfast in the morning is ok but I would say it is nothing special. I had in Bangkok in a 3-star hotel more choices. But on the other hand the price for the resort hotel was very low. The room is sspacious, includes all necessary amenities, a nice balcony to spend the mornings and evenings on, a refreshing pool. The staff is very helpful and supporting. They helpedme finding lost sunglasses and theythe brought them back to me. They are talkative, remeber your name which gives this place an atmosphere of being welcomed. I recommend this place for people who like to spend some days at a quiet resort but I do not recommend it to picky resort-lovers.

The hotel is nice and is located on a hill. The staffs are friendly and greet my boyfriend and I whenever we pass them. BUT BE AWARE of BED BUGS! On the first night, everything was fine until the second night (when housekeeping change the sheets). My boyfriend and I came back after a long day, we showered and change. Afterwards, we laid on the bed which felt as if someone threw sand all over it.. So, we just brushed it off..UNTILthe next morning, my boyfriend and I was covered with BED BUG BITES.. we knew it wasn't mosquitos bites because these bite marks we're in a line and had a pattern. Usually moquito bites mark are spread out randomly throughout the body. These bites were swollen, had clear fluid sweeping, and was extremely itchy. What felt like sand on the bed was actually bed bugs.... We stayed in RM 314. Im note sure if it's just that room or if it was the bed/sheets we slept on. With that said, PLEASE BE AWARE regarding your choice of staying at KC RESORT. Despite the friendly staff, we would give this place a THREE STAR because of the bed bug incident, unsanitary deep soak tub on the balcony, and inadequate A/C. I hope you find this review helpful and assist you in finding the best resort to stay in during your time in Thailand! (-:

The impeccable staff service is made the hotel exceptionally stand out from the rest. There is no task to hard for them, they are readily available and performance exceeds our expectations. Shout out to Jeen from concierge services, S from the view restaurant and Don, the bartender. These staff have made our stay comfortable, welcoming and relaxing.

Lovely time spent at this hotel - our room was fabulous with the most amazing view we had the Grand Junior Suite - breakfast was ok could be improved with a few more options - staff were extremely helpful always ready to assist with a smile - special thanks to Jeen who really does go out of his way to ensure you are looked after - the pool itself we found very relaxing - the sun loungers could do with an upgrade - tiled area around pool very slippery I am hoping hotel management will address this issue - their are some repairs being done at the hotel and yes the other comments saying the hotel could do with a makeover are correct - but in saying that the hotel is still a great place to stay and it should not stop you from having a great time here - the views are exceptional as are the stafff so I would definitely recommend - the hill leading up to the hotel should not cause any problems as the staff are always ready to take you up and down in the buggy this was an excellent service - thanks team we had a great holiday 🌴😃

The rooms were spacious and nice. It’s just at the top of the hill, it’s hard to walk down to the store without having the buggy service. At one time the cleaning didn’t start until around 2:30 which I had to wait outside until it’s finish to go in and rest. Later I had to inform the front desk to have the rooms clean earlier so we all can rest.

Great hotel
The price is reasonable for the rooms and it feels like a great place. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The staff was so nice. The only problem we had is when coming back after midnight no one will get you up.

Manky old hotel
Arrived an hour early, room not available until 2pm on the dot. No upgrade options offered. Had to wait around in heat and humidity due to an outdoor reception, which also stank of sewerage. Restaurant food of poor quality. Room and hotel old and run down. Broken sink and smelly toilet, uncomfortable bed, we both woke up with sore necks.

Amazing Sunrise View. Friendly Staff. Convenient Location. Private and secluded, but was still able to use the beach and pool at KC Beach Club.... a huge bonus! Only downsides, were that the AC would not get colder than 25c and had to ask for a lighter sheet instead of the blanket on the bed after one sleepless night, The hot tub on the balcony was dirty with brown cold water and not functional. However, the location, breakfast, association with the beach club and view were great!

Hotel with a nice View of the Beach of Samui. Call for buggy service to send you to and fro hotel and entrance, as the hotel is located at the top of a small hill, which can be quite a steep climb up.

Nice rooms lots of walking
If you love lots of cardio and smelly pools. This is right for you...., located up a massive hill with no stairs to walk up, and no hotel transport to pick you up from the bottom unless you want to wait 30mins. Once arriving and in our room we were told the bags would be right up... one hour later, 2 phone calls and even having to go back down to the lobby we finally got our bags. A second key to the room was another 2hr wait. Beautiful room with amazing ocean view and the staff were so kind but that is all I can really say that was positive. Understaffed, always out of bread and milk at the morning buffet, couldn’t spend more than 5minutes in the pool area as it smelt of grey water to the point of almost vomiting! The hotel is located in chaweng but very far from the town, There is hotel transport to the sister hotel in chaweng which I would recommend staying at over this one! The local transport literally refused to take us up the hill if it was raining! and when this happened we only gave them half the agreed amount and they were ok with it! So up we strolled in the rain 500m up hill to the lobby then to the eating area then elevators, completely exposed to the rain and not undercover at all! So we were completely drenched! The concept behind the hotel is great but they haven’t thought it through completely, It is not accomodating for anyone with a walking disability! I always try to look at the better side but really struggled with this hotel.

Photos can be very deceiving!
I stay a whole hour before I decided to check out and go to anothet hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and sunken in, the bacony soak tub was old and looked yellow i stead of white. The sea veiw room was more like a pebble veiw...maybe the tide was low but it wasn’t a nice view at all! Very dissatisfied and disappointing. I asked to up grade to a pool villa and i was quoted $5000THB per night which was more than the price of booking that pool villa of the web!

Nice Hotel Staff and Good Environment
I had stay in this hotel for 3nights, the location is not really good but there have a free shuttle to bring us to Chaweng town, about the hotel staff is excellent, they serve us very well and well communicate with us. Beside that, a little disappointed is the breakfast, the breakfast taste is just normal and choice of food is not rich enough. I hope that Kc Resort can improve this. other all should be no problem. overall nice hotel.

Ok but no 4 star experience!
The rooms had hair on the floor and it was a little run down could use some touch ups. My fiance thought it was ok but he works offshore and anything can be a step up from there. Lol.

Great view and nice rooms
Hotel is beautiful. Comfortable beds. Nice shower with good water pressure. Beautiful view. We only stayed one night so we didn’t go to the beach (we heard it was about a mile away) but the infinity pool was lovely, just like the photos show. The jacuzzis tubs on each of the balconies was an added bonus and the breakfast buffet was the best we saw our entire trip.

Ok hotel...not 5 stars, 4 at a push
I was expecting a lot more from this hotel but unfortunately we were left quite disappointed. It’s been given a 5 star rating but in my opinion the attention to detail just want there to make it worth 5 stars. When we arrived, there were stairs leading to reception but no one came to help us get the suitcases up the stairs. The room was quite small and there wasn’t any mirrors in it that I could use to do my hair etc. The TV system was dated and there weren’t any slippers and we only had two bath towels and no other types of towels. The cleaning of the room wasn’t great, we came back to the room one day to discover the hot tube on the balcony hadn’t been washed and when we rang to get someone to clean it, she just used a towel to do it. Things like when we used glasses in the room, they weren’t replaced with with clean ones. I found the breakfast room to be quite small and the service poor, it was a free for all to find a seat instead of being allocated one. The selection was limited and they often ran out of stuff. We booked a Christmas meal and you could tell it was something they put together last minute as they didn’t even send us a proper menu. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant and only about another 4 diners, they didn’t even play christmas music, they just had some random nursery rhymes on! The food was nice at least but would’ve rather had booked somewhere else. The positives are the views of the sea and the pool. The staff are friendly.

Good Hotel... Excellent Staff
A nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is about a 15 min walk to the center of Cheweng where there are many good bars and restaurant. The hotel is on a hill but the hotel does have golf buggies to take you up and down should you need it. The hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint just to re-fresh it a little, but nothing major :) The hotel also has a 'sister hotel' by the beach (KC Beach Resort) which you can use the facilities for free. A lovely hotel on the beach..... well worth a visit.

Great view hotel
The hotel is on a mountain overlooking the sea and had rented a room with a private pool outside. Check in was no issues and staff was nice. When checking in first thing i noticed was the size and the rustic look of the room. Its huge-big enough for 2 families let alone 1. The other is the look. It has a rustic wooden look but has all the modern facilities- lots of wall sockets, dvd, pivoting tv, ect. It even had a class floor so you can view the pool as your looking down-how cool is that. The room staff came 2x a day to ask for cleaning. The outdoor deck had 2 individual beds where you can relax. Only negative was the army of mosquitoes that came out at night so you cant really enjoy it. Above you there was a canopy where you can electronically move up or down to protect you from the sun and rain. The actual facilities were quite nice, adequate gym and pool. Breakfast area had stunning views of island and food variety was no issue. Only negative I can think are the mosquitoes that come out at night and the proximity to everywhere. You must have transportation-rent a motorbike or car. If you don't, your left to the hotels schedule of dropping you off at the city. Great time overall

Was 5 stars in first day rating go down in the end
I was planning to give 5 stars rating Especially after welcome message from the hotel But after I reach the hotel and waited 4 hours for check in. Regardless I inform them I will reach at 10 am they just ignore any promise they make to me The flowers for my anniversary and the cake for my birthday That starts to upset me I was planning to extend even one week more stay but The next day the electricity in the room cut of at 3 am And regardless how many times I called for them to fix they only fix it at 10 am And yet not the aircon fixed and the room turn to be like an oven now For me if you ignore your promises I don't need to stay more I was staying in the overwater pool villa

Decent hotel. Housekeeping service is sub par. Located on hill which is inconvenient and drivers will charge extra to go up it. Taxi company used by hotel is very expensive, use cans off street instead. Breakfast is great

It's Ok... Won't be back!
Nice on the outside but the hotel needs an overhaul. The place is run down and the rooms don't feel clean (mould in the shower and jacuzzi pumps, sticky floors, appliances and furniture breaking, bed linens torn up). Staff are friendly and the resort buggies/ drivers are a great addition given it's set on a hill. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to relax, but not close to the beach.
This hotel is great, with a beautiful view. The pool is nice, and the rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is great, and we highly recommend the on-site cooking class. We did it (2 adults, 2 teens) and had a great time and a delicious meal. One drawback is the beach is not close. The shuttle runs at 10AM, 2, 4, and 6PM, and it is about a 10-15 minute jeepney ride. I think there are probably closer beaches, but most are hotel owned, and therefore not accessible. One suggestion would be to have more frequent shuttle runs, so guests could go and return with more convenience. Next time, we are going to stay at the beach.

Staff attitude have to improve
I'm not happy of the staff's attitude Since I've booked different room in the hotel and have to check out before 2pm. It's good that the staff had called me for remind of the check out time and I've told them that I will check out before 2pm at 8am. After that I've received the 2nd call at 10am and said the new room its ready and we can check out now, and I answered the staff that I will check out at 2pm but not now. And after an hour they called us again and said there a guest will be arrive soon and said the new room its ready now. I told the staff again that I must check out before 2pm. However they keep calling the 4th time and it was just 12 noon and said a guest its waiting for the room. I was so angry and told the staff that it was the 4th times they've calling us and I've already told them that I would check out before 2pm and also I'm now packing my luggage and I felt so annoying that the hotels staff keep calling me. Funny that the staff said this is the normal procedure and she said they will keep calling customer even 5-6 times to remind for check out. Oh god, what kind of service they provide? I'm happy that they will call for remind check out time in the 1st/2nd call, but will felt annoying when calling the 3rd or even 4th time! Yes surely I won't recommend my friend to come to this hotel because of the poor service of the front desk (the girl who always wear white suit)

Bit dated
We booked the villa over water which was a shame because it rained the whole which was inconvenient. The hotel is a bit dated and needs work. The reception staff were good but the rest of the staff struggled with English. We both got food poisoning while in Koh Samui and the manager went out of his way to make sure we were looked after.
