Lovely place in Knysna
The Amanzi Island Lodge is in great location. Next to the lagoon with great views, lovely staff and atmosphere. A great spot to relax and take it easy.

Thanks To Mariet, our stay was amazing
Our stay could I have be ruined because of a car accident but Mariet welcomed us warmly with her nice smile and did her very best to make us feel relaxed. She made sure we will enjoy our stay and forget about our bad experience. The lodge is itself a very nice place to stay, near the lagoon, with confortable rooms. Again Thanks Mariet ! You are a true Angel.

Excellent Boutique Guest House
We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at Amanzi. The location is one of the best in Knysna and the Kingfisher suite we stayed in was luxurious and spacious offering incredible views over the Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads. The breakfast was included in our rate and we really enjoyed the menu variety and high quality on offer. On the one evening, we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and we were similarly impressed with the varied menu and delicious meals. My fillet steak and my partners lamb shank were both exceptional. You also simply just have to try the baked yoghurt and berry sauce dessert - sublime! The highlight for us was the incredible staff at Amanzi. From checkin to garden staff - all consistently good with friendly and helpful dispositions. Special mention to Fortune and Miriam who were particularly outstanding. The hotel also has a very comfortable minivan that transfers guests, whether it is to do some sightseeing at the Heads or an airport transfer. The rates are very reasonable and we enjoyed using this service on one occasion. We look forward to returning to Amanzi on a future trip.

Amanzi for honeymoon
Wow, the view at this property was stunning! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which had our very own pool! But best of all was the view! We were also ecstatic with the amazing hospitality. We were surprised with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries which were a very nice touch. The property has bikes you can take at your leisure as well as paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy! We wished we stayed a few days instead of one night. But we will definitely be back and bring some friends!

Unbeatable views
This hotel is amazing!! A beautiful view of the Knysna heads was available in our room (Coral Suite). Leisure Isle in general was very peaceful and great for running, walking, and biking. The Amanzi staff was great and gave us great recommendations for what to do in Knysna. The hotel also had free bikes and kayaks for use (a facility we took full advantage of). Breakfast was nice and had many options available from a buffet to cooked breakfast. The room was spacious, the king sized bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed. The only criticism we have for Amanzi is that the WiFi was a WEP encrypted connection (not as secure as WPA2, etc.) and would drop out intermittently. All in all, an almost perfect relaxing vacation spot.

Wonderful Knysna accomodation
This is a fantastic place to stay. Excellent staff, very stylish property and delicious breakfast. Great views and fairly priced. Rooms include helpful amenities and staff are very attentive. My only negatives were the small bed and the fact that we were mislead about the pool. The property markets itself with both pools - see it’s lead picture for example, which shows the front facing infinity pool. Only when you arrive are you told that this pool is reserved for one room only, so this is unfair. As a matter of good faith Amanzi owes it to customers to amend their advertising or let all guests use both pools. We would happily stay here again no question.

Cannot be faulted, our room had a perfect view of the lagoon, the staff were welcoming upon arrival and were constantly attentive, from breakfast to the evening. The rooms are excellent and the whole building feels comfortable and beautifully designed. The area of Knysna lagoon is almost too perfect tpo be real and there are excellent restaurants in nearby Knysna and the hotel provides a shuttle service at a nominal rate for those who would rather not drive. We shall go there again, undoubtedly.

Perfect place to relax, great views
Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The room and hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff pay good attention to detail and looked after us very well. Food and drink were excellent. We took advantage of the bikes to cycle around the heads and Thesen island and went kayaking around the lagoon. Also played board games by the fire in their snug lounge area. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay! Thanks Amanzi!

High standard rooms with great location
Wow what a wonderful place. We had an amazing room overlooking the lagoon. The accommodation overall was excellent with lovely quiet garden and general lounge and kitchen areas. It's in a great location right on the waterfront and good for touring. Easy parking. The staff are friendly and very attentive. They even provided a complementary bottle bubbly for our anniversary! Would definitely go back there. We wish we had booked to stay longer.

For your own information, Amanzi Island is expanding and has just recently bought a next door property that will be used as a guest house as well. The long term plan is to join the 2 properties into a big hotel. We will be opening 3 new more rooms in October 2016 and the rooms are just spacious and luxurious with one of them having a pool in front.

Einfach nur zu empfehlen!
Aussergewöhnliche Lodge in bester Lage mit einem sehr freundlichem Personal, was so viel ausmacht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist überragend. Unbedingt den kostenfreien Service der Fahrräder und Kajaks nutzen, um die Insel zu erkunden. Frühstück ist sehr liebevoll und qualitativ angerichtet. Ich kann es in jedem Fall weiter empfehlen, es war einer der besten Unterkünfte.
