This is one of the finest resort hotels we have stayed in.My wife and I travel twice a year all over Thailand and this is right up there with the best. This area of Thailand is untouched by commercialization so be prepared for a hotel stay only not much to do outside the premises.
If you are a hotel connoisseur love staying and eating in the one place then this is worth considering great rooms, fantastic restaurant and very gracious staff this is the place.
The bungalows are actually very nice. Make sure to get one near the beach. None are actually right on the beach. The restaurant is over-priced and not good at all. We only ate the free breakfast and then went next door, down the beach, or took our motorbikes to somewhere else. The weather was not great when we were there so they did not have much set up on the beach for lounging or play. The pool is okay but their are no comfortable seats to hang out on and no shade to speak of.
Khanom is kind of an up-and-coming area so this resort ended up feeling kind of run down and only used as a weekend get away for the Thai. It is one of the better resorts on this beach and in the entire area of Khanom- for the price especially.
Get motorbikes and tool around town. Try to go see the pink dolphins. Go to the waterfalls- some are better than others. Go to the caves, look online for info about these. Some are hard to find or have no lighting inside. Go to the northern bays. The northern-most is a good place to go get the boat for seeing th dolphins. Also, their is a German restaurant tucked back in that little village. The owner is really nice and he worth a visit. Khun Lee's restaurant is pretty good, though small portions for the money. CC's Beach Bar is cool. The owner is reall nice and helpful with tourist bookings and information.
