Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa, Patong Beach

10/10 Excellent

"I travelled with my daughter and was terrified about how unsafe it would be - but the doormen were so accommodating and professional - especially Pi Piramit! Such a fatherly figure and there was another young doorman who gave a flower to my daughter to put in her hair! Katherine who checked us in was also professional and patient in her demeanor and explained about how to get around the huge compound. What we really enjoyed was the two pools, one had a kiddy slide that adults up to 90kg can ride and my daughter loved it! The other pool (Oceanside) overlooks the ocean in the morning and sunset in the evenings where a fire show with fireworks happens once the pool closes at 7pm! You can also order food from the restaurant and enjoy the pool (kindly note: no lifeguards are present so watch your kids!) If you like a stay that is scenic, luxurious and near to Patong Beach - this is it - tuktuks are about 300 baht each way :) The nearest mall is Jungceylon and there are a lot of massage places nearby that is more affordable by 100 baht than Old Phuket Town. 45 mins to Phuket Central - just remember not to travel during peak periods to avoid jams but everything is walkable with Erawan Zipline and ATV just 5-10 mins away! I do not regret a moment staying with Diamond Cliff!"

"Staff were always smiling and attentive. Room was large and comfortable. Big bathroom with toiletries replenished daily and with clean, thick, quality towels. Bed was very comfortable. Shout out to the housekeeping staff who do a great job. The restaurant staff at breakfast were excellent, despite having to handle hundreds of guests. It was so busy from 8.15am onwards, so I suggest going early. Food was great with options to suit all tastes. ATMs in the lobby were very convenient. Hairdryer was poor quality, either slow and cool or slow and too hot. In room Tea options only Earl Grey or flavoured. Luckily I took my own English breakfast. Enjoyed our holiday and will stay there again."
