"I love the Royal Kona and have stayed there many times since 2018. It is an older resort, but the pool, the lagoon, and Don the Beachcomber restaurant are wonderful, as are the members of the staff."
"We had an excellent stay at Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort. Our newly remodeled two-bedroom unit was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The updated furnishings, modern finishes, and well-equipped kitchen made it feel like a home away from home.
The resort grounds are lush, well maintained, and capture the charm of old Hawaii. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer, which made our family vacation much more convenient.
The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the location was perfect—close to restaurants, shopping, beaches, and Kona activities while still feeling peaceful and relaxing.
Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay, and we would not hesitate to return. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Big Island and looking for spacious accommodations with a true Hawaiian atmosphere."
"It is a great hotel. Waves crashing on the beach. They have everything to make your stay a great experience. Very quiet and relaxing with beach chairs a,do towels to borrow for the week. Close to downtown Kona."
"Great little place tucked away 5 mins from Kahalu'u bay making it a great base for water activities and quieter than the locations downtown. The property was surrounded by lots of trees, plants and local wildlife. Supermarkets were close by with some options for food and the property was well equipped for reheating food or even cooking if needed. parking was offered but we didn't need it.
The room was clean and the open air design still kept us cool though we would have some company from lizards and bugs every now and then, it didn't bother us. Great stay and hospitality, would stay here again!"
