pretty good - everything worked. The only slight downsides were that the air-conditioning in the room is almost impossible to adjust; and more signs are needed to help people find the swimming pool.

+Aamupala, joka oli maukas ja allergikkojen unelma (hyvät merkinnät) + Huone oli tilava ja viihtyisä - Mutta huone oli myös kylmä (lisäpatteri korjasi toisena yönä tilanteen) - Kakkosrakennuksessa ei ole uloskäyntiä, vaan matka huoneelle oli tiettyihin aikoihin pitkä ja sokkeloinen Lopuksi vielä plussaa hotellin hyvästä sijainnista. Kaikki oli lähellä.

Nice, clean basic hotel. Room has what is needed but not really anything extra. Bed was good, decent tv channels. A plus for a charging plate for mobile. Breakfast good quality and always appreciate organic produce.

The service was great -- the staff members at the check-in counter were very friendly, attentive to my needs, and they also spoke good English. The room was very clean and cozy, equipped with all the basic stuff. The location is great, too, close to restaurants and supermarkets and not too far from where my conference was held, University of Jyvaskyla. My only small complaint is with the internet connection, which was somewhat slow for my cell phone for some reason. Also, if the hotel could provide power adaptors for people who travel from a different time zone but do not have the right converter at hand, that would be great.

Great stay
Very nice hotel for short visit at Jyväskylä for decent price. There is sauna and small pool free to use untill 10pm. Breakfast was very good. Location could't be better at the very center of the city.

This was a business trip, so the hotel was fine for the purpose. The breakfast selection was a great way to start the day and the sauna was a great way to end the day. However, wouldn't recommend it for those that may be holidaying. No bar fridge, room safe and pretty boring rooms...

A nice hotel, close to the station and city centre
Scandic Jyväskylä City is a good hotel in the centre of the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. The rooms are comfortable, air-conditioned and have good facilities. Breakfast is typical european fair, with a range of hot and cold buffets, with meats, eggs, cheeses, cereals, pastries etc. The hotel has a gym and sauna that is open to all guests. The hotel is close to the railway station with good links to Helsinki and Tampere, as well as other parts of Finland. The city centre is within walking distance, with access to a wide variety of good restaurants and bars etc.

Simple hotel, good breakfast
When I travel for business, I usually spend about $120 (US) on my room. My room at Cumulus lacked (where other hotels have provided) a hotpot/coffee maker (and tea and coffee) and an in-room safe. After my first night, housekeeping did not pick up the towels on the floor or provide new sheets for my bed. The morning breakfast was good. However, it was a nice, simple hotel in a great location for my needs.

Comfortable stay in Jyväskylä
The room was a comfortable-size double room which gave ample space for a single traveller. Reception downstairs was very helpful and friendly as was other staff I met during my stay. The hotel was in the centre of the city, very practical, but not a great neighborhood. Breakfast was pretty standard, good, but nothing special. All in all though, the hotel can be well recommended as a reasonable price-quality option.

Great upgrade
We had a lovely 5 night stay at the Cumulus,Jyvaskyla. We have stayed here previously,before the recent refurbishment, and fully appreciate the changes.The room looks fresher and more spacious,the TV is much larger and the reception and dining areas are more modern and bright. The power shower in the bedroom was amazing! The only thing we missed was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I gather that these are not normally provided in Finnish hotels and there are drinks available at reception and ,of course, a full Continental/Finnish breakfast with plenty of choice every day. We ate at the hotel restaurant for the first time and we were very satisfied.The food was lovely and at reasonable prices. We fully enjoyed our holiday and will definitely stay here again.

The bathroom was pretty gross upon arrival.. there was hair and leftover used shampoo packets in the shower. The light in the shower was out as well. I was hoping the cleaning service would eventually clean/fix it, but all they did was provide new towels.. no cleaning.

Very noisy room, sounds from the street and nearby clubs very loud. Went on to 3am on Fri and weekend. I recommend being very clear about where your room will be beforehand. Of course if you come for the weekend party it's ok. breakfast and room otherwise ok.

A decent stay in an older building
Stopped for a night with my wife and our 5-yr old boy. Nothing wrong with the place or service if one does not demand anything special. Nevertheless the price level is too high in relation to the quality of the place - i.e. many details (esp. the bathrooms) look cheapish and are more reminiscent of a school building than a hotel.
