"The pictures in our room were creepy! The check in clerk spoke softly and rapidly."

Days Inn by Wyndham Iron Mountain

"Room smelled musty, very poor water pressure in shower. Water continued after turning off"

Chicaugon Lake Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our family upon our early arrival prior to 3 pm. The room was nostalgic and reminded my husband and me of staying with our grandparents. We loved the VHS tape player with movies to borrow in the lobby. There were plenty of modern amenities like over 100 channels on the TV, and wifi. The beds were more comfortable than the average firm and hard hotel beds. After a long day of exploring we got in late and the lack of blackout curtains woke us up to the sunrise early. We liked the larger mini fridge and freezer in our room. The property was nice. We enjoyed the patio furniture and pretty flowers. The grill available to guests was also a bonus. We will definitely stay again."

Motel 6 Norway, MI

"Hotel is really showing its age. Outside looks horrible. Room was clean and fine for one night."

"Great place to stay"

Baymont by Wyndham Iron Mountain

"The day manager sucked balls. My room could have been a bit cleaner. I especially loved the spit sunflower seeds on the floor and pubic hair brushed under the bathroom sink. It was a nice touch. The hot tub was broken, but it said it was prior to booking so I can't blame them. The pool was a bit on the small side, but it actually worked out and was fun with the kids. The tv channel guide was misguided. The channels weren't what it says they were. The towels were small in general. Not everything was negative. Onto the positives. The continental breakfast was ok. The rooms were a decent size. The air conditioner worked good, although I think it was on its last legs. The beds were very comfortable along with the pillows. The price of the room was decent for three nights. Check-in and check-out times were great. The toilet handled my logs with precision and no clogging. Great water pressure. Would I stay here again? Sure. Would I check out another place with a pool next time? Probably. Lastly, the maids were nice and happy to help. Form your own opinion from here."

Iron Mountain Inn & Suites MI US 2
2/10 Terrible
"We booked two prepaid rooms through Hotels.com for a one-night stay. The rooms themselves were mostly clean, the beds were comfortable, and for a budget property I would have probably rated the stay around 3 stars based on the rooms alone. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was difficult. Check-in took over 20 minutes and seemed unusually confusing despite having a prepaid reservation. The owners repeatedly asked us to confirm our identities, appeared confused by the fact that one person had reserved two rooms, and held onto my driver's license and credit card throughout most of the process. The property is under new ownership and the owners were polite, but the hotel felt disorganized. One TV did not work, the A/C struggled to keep up, exterior trash bins were overflowing into the parking lot, and there was a strong odor near one of the side entrances. Guests should also know that religion is a very visible part of the experience. There were Bible verses and religious materials throughout the lobby, the former conference room appeared to have been converted into a chapel, their business cards have bible verses, and the owners prayed for us during check-in, etc. The most concerning issue was billing. The hotel confirmed at check-in that our stay had already been prepaid through Hotels.com and took a credit card for incidentals. Despite that, we were later charged separately through OYO and were also marked as a no-show despite physically checking in and staying."
